Margaret Atwood's The Testament: cover released!

I am both very excited to read this and also a tiny bit sad. I hated the lack of closure for Offred but over the decades came to appreciate how that lack of closure in some ways made the story more powerful.

I haven't watched the second season on Hulu yet... Guess I need to.

I have such mixed feelings about this.

While I am excited for this, I think I am going to hold off on reading it because the original was just so perfect to me and I am worried that any follow-up might potentially take away my good feelings towards the first book. I'm nervous. So once it's been released, I will need other people to assure me that they have read this new book and loved it before I will pick it up.

Yeah... I'd like to say this, but I know myself well enough to know I'd fold. So I'm just going to go ahead and pre-order it.
