I’m meeting friends for a 10k trail race this morning. I ran 20 miles yesterday, so this will be more of a recovery run than a real race. I’m also coming down with a cold. Then we’re going to a Super Bowl party tonight, but leaving at half time because tomorrow is a school day.

I was supposed to meet friends for a trail run but it is the worst combo of weather. So....I'm off to the gym and the dreadmill for as long as I can take it. Ughhh. It's either that or the inside track at the community center for 1/16th of a mile. It's warm enough to melt some snow, but then it rained so everything froze overnight. The trails are snow with a thick glaze of ice, and the roads are a total joke. My poor dog was like Bambi out there, couldn't stand up.
I am off to Spin class.... then chilling/studying until tonight. The Super Bowl is here!
I fell off track last week with my nutrition/workouts.. so today I am wearing my "Bombshell in progress" tank to remind myself of my intentions. I'm ready to get back on track. Tomorrow. After the yummy Super Bowl food.
I’m planning on 6 miles today, but I’m waiting until the afternoon so it will hopefully warm up at least a bit. I did my body pump class yesterday and 3 miles on the treadmill and it took forever- I don’t know if I could handle 6 on there : /
Waiting until later to go run a few miles outside. It’s supposed to be almost 50 today which is crazy considering how cold it’s been. But icy out right now so hoping it is better out later.
Up and about to run 7 outside. Hopefully. The snow is working on melting but we’ll see how well the running path has melted. I’m not too hopeful. I may end up running loops near my neighborhood. But man, 36* and sunny feels like a heat wave! And it’s supposed to hit 55* later.
I will run this afternoon before heading over to @drcupcake's super bowl party.
I'm almost done with meal prep for the week. So far I've made chili for the week and chopped veggies to roast. I'm going to make an orange pound cake when I get back from swim lessons.

I wish I could have waited to go out! Death trap this morning, and now it's beautiful out. The treadmill was awful but it's over. Hope I can get outside tomorrow for some miles (maybe in shorts?!!)
It rained overnight, so I slept in & have been doing things around the house. I'm meeting a friend to road ride in a bit for probably 2.5-3 hours. No Superbowl plans even though it's being held here in ATL.

I just got back in...ran 5 miles in a tank top! That’s insane after how cold it was just 2-3 days ago!! I’m hoping to go out tomorrow too. My dh went out this morning and said it was still pretty icy. It was mostly just wet out for me but still some snow/slush patches. I couldn’t run on the sidewalks.
I was! I mostly was focused on the ground trying not to fall! It was a fun race. Congrats on your 10k!
Omg I saw you and was telling my mama about that race from you talking about it, but didn't realize that was you WEARING it.
That race is mostly on my regular Sunday run course. Out and back to the bridge from my front door is my 5/6 mile go-to.
That was one of my slower trips on it for sure. 😂
If it makes you feel better, the 10k course is more like 6.5 miles. The half marathoners do it twice, which makes sense for them, but then the 10k is a little longer than it should be.
