Any AW's or brags? My favorite mtb trail was open for the first time since October this weekend. It closes in Nov.-Dec.. for hunting. (The hunters have been out there for decades longer than mtbers and hikers, and it helps to keep the deer population down.) In Jan., it was only open for a few days b/c of the rain. It was great to get to ride it again!

Any AW's or brags? I decided to work on my handstands/inversions in yoga, and then realized I'd done it every day for the first 3 days of February. So I decided to work on that every day for the whole month (so far so good).
It's also good because I do stretching/other yoga to warmup before I start, so by default I'm getting that in every day too.
Sunday- 10K run Monday- 5K run Tuesday- full body strength Wed- spin class Thurs- 5 mile run with hills Friday - 1 hour stairmill w/weighted pack
Saturday- tbd rest or a longish run, then rest Sunday
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away!
Work is crushing me right now. My two coworkers who were my sanity checkers/sounding boards are gone, one laid off, one moved on and it's truly changed my day to day environment. The transition has been very tough for me. Aside from the additional direct reports and work duties I inherited, I no longer have a peer in my department who I can run things by and who I consider a friend outside of work. Pity party for one I guess. Hopefully I'll get over it soon.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Weather canceled my work event last weekend, so it's rescheduled for the 16th. I have a conference out of town this week. Other work things were rescheduled for later this month. I was hoping to get some more good running in before my event in March, but time is slipping away.
Any AW's or brags? Eh, not really. Just glad to continue my streak of being un-injured!
Training schedule for the week? M - unplanned rest T - strength training for runners W - 3-4 mile run R - strength training for runners F - 3-4 mile run S - 5-6 mile run S - rest
plus yoga everyday
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Last few days I have been so tired and getting up in the morning isn't happening. Also, my right IT band hates me and hurts like crazy lately on runs. Don't know if it is PG related or not but I am over it.
Any AW's or brags? Still running? And 34 straight yoga days
Training schedule for the week? Run as able. I am in Portland with DS2 for work. We "ran" two miles this morning. It was super icy, so it was more of a shuffle. Hopefully I will manage another run or two.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Why is it so cold here this week?!
What are you training for? Date? Pittsburgh Marathon 05/05
Training schedule for the week? M: 45 min cycle, 3 mile run T: 10 mile run W: 10 mile run Th: something easy F: 16 w/ 10@MP Sa: recovery run/ride Su: ?
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Nope, feeling good. Hoping to get some solid mileage in this week since I'll take most of next week off for a work trip.
Any AW's or brags? I raced twice this past weekend. It was fun. I was 3rd female finisher/1st AG in my 10 mile race, but it was a prediction race and it was so freakin' cold and hilly that no one was really pushing it (myself included!) I got to see Wines Not Whines at the trail race and she was rocking it the day after running 20 trail miles!
What are you training for? Date? Love Half 3/31, Broad Street 10 miler 5/5
Training schedule for the week? Mon - 5 mile run Tues- 30 min spin and free weights Wed- yoga Thurs- 4 mile run, free weights Fri- yoga Sat- body pump and 3 mile run Sun- 6-7 mile run
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! No complaints here! It was 5 degrees here last week and this week it’s been in the 60s. It’s wonderful running weather for February- terrifying, but a nice break from the cold if I’m putting a positive spin on it.
Any AW's or brags? Im in a much better spot in terms of overall fitness than I was last year at this time. I’m hoping that means if I keep working I’ll be in an even better spot for my races.
Training for: Double Century 6/8 (plus a bunch of lead up bike things)
M - strength T - 1 hr trainer W - strength (skipped my run) Th - 2ish hour trainer F - rest Sa - swim, long trainer Su - run?
This is both a Yay and a Boo: Trail 10k on sunday was so much fun. "Ran" with my mama and we just took it easy and gabbed the whole way. Walked all the uphills. Trotted the flats. Unfortunately, running slowly on trails covered in packed snow meant I was taking awkward little mincing strides apparently, and my right IT band was MAD ABOUT IT. Around mile 4.5 it went very suddenly from "hmmm that's tight" to "ow ow ow ow ow fuck ow" My mom whipped around thinking I fell because I sucked my breath in so hard all of a sudden. We walked the rest, got home, foam rolled, gently stretched and otherwise took it easy, and it felt fine for my strength routine on monday and trainer ride last night, so it's not too aggravated but that was a bit of a scare. Gotta stay on top of that prehab man. Yikes.
wawa My IT band was also cranky after that run! Trying to stay upright on the ice/snow was a workout for the whole body. I felt like I was "putting on the breaks" and not doing my natural stride through much of it. It was fun though!
I signed up for the Austin Half on 2.17. First time I’ve run it since 2015 and my concussion.
I caught ds’s crud this week and have been hacking up a lung and haven’t been able to run this week. I’m supposed to do 10 on Saturday. Resting this week and hoping to kick this by Saturday.
