What’s your favorite snack that actually fills you up?
I’ve been consistent with getting to the gym and adding a weight routine into my workout- and while I feel great, I’m also hungry ALL THE TIME. I’ve been bringing carrots, apples, grapes, and sometimes pirates booty to munch on during the day until our lunch period at 12:30, but by then it’s too late and I’m ready to eat a student. Not really, but kinda. And then I’m shoving tiny reese’s cups in my face and leftover Hershey kisses from Christmas and I’m undoing all the work I’m putting in.
So, what’s your go-to snack? And why do I want to eat an entire loaf of bread every day around 10?
Apple and PB Apple and cheese Nuts Hard boiled eggs String cheese Greek yogurt (+/-blueberries +/-slivered almonds) Cottage cheese with crushed pineapple
Nuts or peanut butter for me. I really am liking Santa Cruz brand peanut butter.
I also despise yogurt but recently have been making smoothies with it and have found it to be delicious when I blend it with stuff - this is more of a meal than a snack though: greek yogurt, sweet potato, cilantro, fresh ginger and a little lime or vinegar and some stevia. Yum.
I love baby carrots (for the crunch) and hummus, any kind of cheese with fruit, yogurt, celery with peanut butter. Hard boiled eggs about every day. Lately I've been loving a small portion of whatever was leftover from dinner as a snack the next day.
I have to combine volume with fat and protein, so I do water and popcorn or an apple to feel full plus nuts/cheese to keep me feeling full for longer. I also really like oatmeal. Oh! And those protein snack packs they sell next to the cheese in the grocery store. They’re good for a quick snack that feels like a treat.

I am all about the Greek yogurt and mixed nuts, or diy trail mix. And nut butter with carrots (I actually like it better this way than with apples, and I love apples). Oh, has anyone mentioned hummus? Or roasted chickpeas?
DH eats a lot of lunch meat and cheese rolls and salami
My two favorite snacks now are 1/2 avocado on wheat crackers (SO filling) and the RX Bar nut butter packets. I like that they have the egg whites in them for a little more protein. You could also try roasted chickpeas or edamame.
I agree that your current snacks are low in fat and protein. I'd try to increase those macronutrients + fiber.
