I feel like my kids just decide on their own little milestones. They just decided after discovering their fists that pacis were for losers. They didn't bat an eye when we put them in the cribs in their room, and yet I'm the one who slept in there for 2 weeks like a worried weirdo. Recently, Etta even decided the swaddle was NBD, since I stopped doing it the day she started rolling, and she had previously been swaddled all the dang time. I guess it's good because I can't even be bothered to enforce a sleep schedule, which causes other twin moms' heads to explode. It's like unheard of in the twin mom world not to be on a schedule. Of course, it's almost 9:30 and Etta is asleep in a bouncer. I just dread waking her up to eat and then attempting to get her to bed again.

I am just curious how these twin moms have schedules. I have ONE baby and I can't even get her on a schedule!

The mantra is "one up, both up." Basically every time one wakes, you wake the other to try and keep them in sync. Everyone acts like they're otherwise gonna get on opposite schedules and then the world will end. I like having mine out of sync so I get some one on one time now and then.

SERIOUSLY.

I mean, J goes to bed around the same time every night, but it certainly wasn't my doing. And her naps are still all over the place.

Yeah, I keep trying for a schedule with no success. Wake and bed are about the same time every day, but like you, naps are just insane. I'm actually kinda relieved I'm not the only one.

I guess I'm the weird unicorn that loves a good schedule (maybe routine is a better word?).

That's pretty great that they just decided they don't need pacis anymore. That's one less thing to worry about undoing later for ya. They sound like they are pretty go with the flow when it comes to change!

I guess they've kinda been conditioned that way, what with having to take turns to eat and get changed and whatnot their whole lives.

Just wanted to say your girls are adorable and I am so impressed by you. Like others have said, I can barely handle one, let alone you doing so wonderful with two! Very impressive!

Thanks! If you hung out with the gals IRL, you'd see we're just going with the flow and surviving. 4 am was not pretty last night.
