We just got our freeze report...only 2 made it to freeze. I'm not going to lie, I'm disappointed, but trying to be positive that at least we have some to freeze. That means out of 24 eggs, only 3 made it, ugh.
Chiming in with ANOTHER story of high attrition. I'm on my 5th stim cycle right now, which seems insane. My previous cycles were 18 eggs - 3 embryos (1 m/c), 15 eggs - 0 embryos, 19 eggs - 1 embryo (1 m/c), 30 eggs - 4 embryos (2 still frosties, 2 discarded to due abnormal results). My new doc wanted me to try another stim round with a different protocol because the 2 frozen ones will always be there, and they're likely to be successful next year if they would have been successful this year. This morning the tech said I had a great number of follicles, especially since I'm 36, but the number of eggs has never been my concern, getting good quality embryos is. I sympathize entirely! Are you doing any testing? Did they tell you how the embryos look?
We had opted to not do any testing right now...we really went back and forth on it, but decided since our ages aren't a big issue (me 35, him 38) and we've never experience losses, other failed transfers and our genetic screening came back clean to forgo it for now. The price was a big factor in that decision as well. They didn't give me ANY info on the 2 they froze...literally just an email saying we had 2 to freeze. The nurse said she'd check in with me later this week or or early next week about scheduling my beta, so I think I'm going to ask her then if she has any info on the quality or grades of the ones they froze!

If they were able to freeze them then chances are they are pretty good quality. Am I remembering correctly that you moved to SGF? If so, they have SUPER high standards for what they will freeze or transfer which can be frustrating when you're like me and end up with 1 embryo, but it means they're only transferring embryos you really have a strong shot with. I really hope you have good news soon!

Yes, we are with SGF...I'm glad to hear that they have high standards...but like you said, it is a little frustrating when you start with so many and end with so few. But I'm still thankful we have the 1 we transferred and 2 frosties!

Saw the doc this morning and we are transferring two (fingers crossed) on Monday afternoon! Embryologist said my 16 are still hanging in and he was confident I would have 2 great ones to transfer.
Physically, I'm barely sore today (retrieval was Wed) and am feeling good. I hope that's a good sign that my body will be healed enough for a shot at this transfer. I'm not holding out hope - statistically, it's not good - but am trying everything I can. DH told me I was being too pessimistic but it's hard not to be. I just want to ready myself for failure, you know?
