I added estrogen into my protocol this weekend and lower my Lupron tonight. My next u/s to see how things look is Friday.
Other than that, my birthday is Thursday and I made a massage appt to treat myself. I'm looking forward to it! My stress levels have been high since starting the cycle and my H is working 2nd shift right now so he wont really be around to do something on that day anyways so I figured why not!

Thank you! As of now, we’ll be transferring at 9:30am tomorrow. My clinic doesn’t give updates after letting us know how many fertilized, so we could get a call in the morning letting us know they need another day or two. They’re calling for snow overnight and we have an hour drive, so hopefully it’s an easy, stress free trip!!

Semi-@@@ i'm on twice a day progesterone for the TWW and the side effects i'm experiencing - namely the sore boobs/sensitive nipples are the only symptoms i had during the first trimester for my DS. so that's super fun and totally messing with my head.

@g22 happy almost birthday! I think a massage sounds perfect. Cycling can be so stressful.
robinsbff the progesterone symptoms are the WORST. I find it’s about the same in cycles I’ve had BFPs (all losses) and those that didn’t work - which makes it even harder! I’m hopeful for you this time around.
I’m very nervous for transfer #4 tomorrow. As of this morning I’m down almost 9 lbs eating keto and with regular exercise since January. Just in time to be on exercise restrictions until the 21st, hopefully I can maintain during the TWW. Injecting PIO only on one side is a bummer. My one poor bumcheek is pretty sore.
@seeyalater I was wondering how your PIO was going. I'm sorry you are restricted to one side, but I'm guessing that means at least you are having a reaction anymore? Good luck tomorrow! Congrats on the weight loss!
I went this morning for monitoring. Estimated transfer is next Friday but I'm waiting to hear from the nursing team first. My lining though was so small - measured at 5.1 but there's a cyst that just showed up coming in at 30mm. UGH. I just had retrieval Jan 25th and CD1 was Thursday. This is our first IVF cycle and it's gone relatively smooth considering our new RE is 7 hrs away but what people didn't tell me is that the first period after retrieval is the worst.

I'm sorry your period has been bad. I don't really remember my post IVF period being terrible, but I'm sure it varies but person. Fx that cyst doesn't mess up this cycle for you!
I'm getting ready for a retrieval this weekend. I'm on day 9. I'm likely adding cetrotide in tonight, which I don't think I've ever done. Things are measuring well, and I appear to have a lot of follicles. I've never had a small number of eggs, but the real test will be if I get a good amount of embryos. My last retrieval was my most ever at 4, but one was abnormal and one was mosaic "for several things." The other two - one non-concurrent and one normal - have been moved to my new doctor. That was a PITA. I had to pick up a tank at the new doctor, drive to the old doctor, pick up the embryos, drive them back to the new doctor, then drive to work. Have I mentioned that new doctor is 45 minutes away from my office?
I almost had a heart attack because I left 2 vials of non-reconstituted human growth hormone on my table on Saturday night instead of putting it back in the fridge. That's about $500 of medication. I had enough for yesterday, though. I called the pharmacy, who didn't sound optimistic. I talked to the nurse this morning, who was positive. She was all, "even if a yogurt says "best by Feb 3rd you're probably going to eat it on Feb 5th and it will be fine." But I don't want to risk messing up my entire cycle, which my husband pointed out would be a waste of way more than $500. Anyway, I called the manufacturer today and they told me I was fine because it wasn't mixed yet! I'm so happy.

msmerymac I’m so relieved for you that the HGH doesn’t have to be tossed! I’m looking into it for my next cycle. Are you priming in advance or adding along with stims (or both?) How much do you take daily? The more failed transfers I have the more I am convinced that egg quality is an issue and HGH seems like a good potential investment there although it’s a little hard to wrap my mind around the cost.
Wishing you the best of luck for this retrieval. <3
seeyalater52 , my H went to pick it up for me at the specialty fertility pharmacy that's 5 minutes from his office. So he wouldn't be shocked, I told him, "BTW, it's $1800. " He said, "What's the puke face for?" I said, "The fact that the cost makes me want to vomit." That was the cost of 5 vials, which is all I should need for this cycle (I just asked them to give it all to me right away), but still. That's on top of $6800 of other meds!

I'm home and hopefully knocked up! They were running about a half hour behind, which sucked for my poor bladder. But the end result, was a little, perfectly graded blast transferred in. We'll know in a few days how many we have to freeze...probably 4-6ish. My beta isn't until 2/25...I'm not sure I'll be able to wait that long without taking a test, we'll see. My birthday is 2/28, so I'm hoping for the best present ever <3
GL tomorrow seeyalater52!! Sending you all the good thoughts and sticky baby vibes!

I've never done a FET, only fresh transfers so I dont know if this is a normal feeling. But I feel like this FET cycle is just dragging by. Maybe it's because theres less monitoring and meds, but I still feel like my transfer is so far away! I'm watching all you ladies transfer this week and next, and I still have 2 weeks to go. I'm just ready to do this.

Happy birthday g22!
Megstoo my period after ivf was awful.
So we are 90 percent sure my niece is lying about something (big lie not willing to share details yet). So we are playing it out and should know by Wednesday afternoon one way or another this is going to be a long two days.shr doesn't know yet what we have planned for that day to reveal truth or lie because we don't want to tip her off.
Eta yep lying but still not admitting it just making it worse. God I knew she had issues I had no idea they were this bad. I will be talking to her therapist before her appointment this week.

Today was my last monitoring appt! I still feel nothing, y'all. My skinny jeans fit and everything - so weird. We went to Disney yesterday and I didn't ride anything crazy but otherwise felt perfectly normal. I'll probably have a horrible recovery from this retrieval to make up for the lack of issues with stims.
I'm triggering tonight with Novarel! I'm nervous, since it's a shot DH is going to give Retrieval is 8am on Wednesday.
However... evidently there is concern of hyperstimulating (my follicles are too big?) so he wants to see me Friday morning to make sure I'm okay before the weekend and to make sure we can go through with the fresh transfer. So fingers crossed that doesn't happen.
They told me bed rest for retrieval day - should I plan to be out of work on Thursday, too? I'm off Fridays anyways and have fairly unlimited time off. What foods am I supposed to eat after retrieval? Salty stuff? I need to hit the store...

Oh, I forgot to answer your questions! I take .5 cc once per day. With my retrieval in July, I was actually on .1 cc per day, so I only needed 2 vials. Now I use about 1 vial every 2 days. It's along with stims - 450 of gonal-F (the max amount) once per day and 2 vials of menopur once per day. I don't know what the cetrotide/ganarellix is going to be for or how much, but they say I'll probably add it tonight and I expect a call any minute about that.
My protocol in July was the HGH, 2 vials of menopur, 350 (I think) of gonal-F, and microdose lupron twice per day. But my former doctor really never worked with HGH, so he didn't have a basis to start with. My BFF, who worked with my new doctor and did a similar protocol to what I'm doing now used .5 cc HGH last year and has a 7 week old daughter now.
I've also never done a fresh transfer, but I'm going to try with the best looking one this time, and we decided to PGS test the ones we're freezing, even though it's $$$. Might as well.

I've never taken an extra day off, although I've occasionally had a Friday retrieval, which is nice! I'd probably avoid salt because of bloat, but you should really just eat whatever will taste good to you. You might be sleepy and a little sore for the rest of the day.

Actually if there is concern of hyperstimulating you will want lots of salt--soup, fries, etc. Also--lots of protein and a a lot of gatorade. I drank gatorade daily for a few weeks. Good luck chocolatepie! I went back to work the next day and it was rough, but I survived.

Yep, what she said. After retrieval all 3 times, I hyperstimulated and was not allowed free water. I added salt to my powerade. Ate lots of canned soups, veggies, meats/sausages/beans. I took shots of soy sauce like 3 times a day.
Good luck! I usually made sure I had the day of and 2 days after retrieval off at least, and day of transfer.
I had my first meeting with the RE today. It went very well. During our meeting he mentioned at my age I may only have 15 total follicles and with my diagnosis maybe 1-2 good embryos. During the ultrasound he found 15 follicles on each side, woo hoo! Also, I am about to O and I have two eggs on my left which could mean twins if I we were actually TTC (I am not, but it’s good to know!) He said my uterus looks great too.
An interesting aside, he said because I have DS, we could have him tested and compare his results to my embryos to see if any are carriers to my condition. The downside is they would need to take a vial of his blood. Also, I don’t know if I would not use an embryo that was a carrier. Either way it’s pretty cool it is a possibility.
I have to go for day 3 testing and a saline sonogram when I get my period. They said they will probably start me on my next cycle (so the end of March). I am anxious to start, but feeling a lot better about it overall.

chocolatepie I didn’t overstimulate but I felt pretty crappy after egg retrieval. The day following was the worst for me, but I retrieved on Friday and wasn’t able to go to work at all on Monday and opted to work from home Tuesday as well. Day 5 when I had my fresh transfer was the first day I felt almost normal. I’d definitely aim to take Thursday off too if you’re able.
vmars I’m so glad you had a good appointment! It’s so much less overwhelming when you have a good doctor to walk you through things, and it sounds like you won’t have to wait too long to get started.
