Mine was quiet, I played trivia with some of the regulars at my local on Friday. We won! I might be developing a crush on the team captain, which is weird but good.
Saturday I slept all day and made soup then watched "won't you be my neighbor?" and cried.
My weekend was good, also fairly quiet. Friday I just went to dance class. One of my friends is a bartender and it was his birthday, but I really just wanted to stay home and relax instead of going to a bar.
Saturday I went for a walk with one of my friends, got a mani-pedi (with Valentine's nail art), and then went to see another friend in a play. I went out with her and the cast afterwards, which was nice. I kind of know someone else in the cast, though not well, and he was being weird around me so I avoided him.
Yesterday my friend cancelled our training "run" so I was lazy in the morning. I went to Costco with one of my BFFs and then to book club.

Add me to the "quiet but good camp".
Saturday I met a friend to see Aquaman and then we went out to lunch. P had plans with a friend Saturday night so me and the pupster chilled on the couch and watched Secretariat. I was kind of laughing at myself because I KNEW what happened but I was still cheering for him to win the races. Lol. Sunday I went to yoga, then P and I went cider tasting. Later I made roasted cauliflower soup out of Johanna Gaines cookbook. I love her but I'm seriously doubting she eats all this stuff on the regular. All the recipes call for 50 sticks of butter, 7 pounds of cheese, a tub of sour cream and a gallon of heavy cream (slight exaggeration but still!)
weekend was a decent mix of fun times with friends and down time.
I did hit some black ice on Saturday night for the first time ever and nearly shit my pants. Luckily no other cars were near me so when my car turned at about a 45 degree angle yet was still moving down the interstate, I did not hit anyone or anything. After I regained control, I pulled over and may have cried just a bit out of sheer terror. But I pulled myself together and made the rest of the trek home ok.
Thanks guys. I use to drive back and forth between Minnesota and Illinois every 2 weeks for 2 years straight in all sorts of weather and never once hit black ice. It was scary as hell.

Add me to the quiet weekend group. We did manage to get someone to sit with S so we could go have a couple drinks again on Saturday. So that was nice. We've been able to have a little kid free time 2 weekends in a row now.
I've been feeling kind of homesick lately. But they're getting snow right now too. So... maybe CA... 😉
My weekend was definitely NOT quiet. I was out of town helping a friend who just had surgery the last part of last week and drove home on Saturday morning. Saturday night some friends threw me a going away party. I was exhausted but it was sooooo fun
. Sunday my movers showed up to pack right at 9am as planned. They were amazing but took 2 hours longer than was estimated. When I questioned them about it they said not to worry, they’d charge me just for the time estimated. And they did an amazing job packing. Sunday night a separate group of friends threw me a going away dinner. They gave me this beautiful and super touching collage of pictures. I cried...
Today the movers were back again at 9am to pack the truck. Since they took so much time packing, loading the truck was quick. They were done in under 3 hours. Once they left I had to finish cleaning out the fridge and generally cleaning the place. They didn’t ask for me to fix nail holes or anything so I did none of that. I did leave them all my extra paint though.
I’m at the hotel now in pjs laying in bed. I’m probably going to order room service for dinner in just a few minutes.
