* New Zealand * Drive cross country (was scheduled for this summer but it's been delayed until hopefully summer 2020). * New Year's Eve in Iceland * Live in DC, This may be a retirement thing where I live there in the winter if I stay in New England. I hate New England Winters. * Ride a ferris wheel WAS on my list but I rode the one in Atlanta so I crossed that off in December! * Visit all national parks.
Mine is fairly long, but I get to cross one off tomorrow. I’m taking my mom to Ireland in the morning. We rented a car and are going to drive all around.
See the northern lights Hike to Macchu Picchu Drive the Amalfi Coast Go to one of those dirt parks and drive an excavator Learn to toss pizza dough by hand Learn carpentry and make my own wood furniture Learn to weld
Can you elaborate on that at all? It sounds very interesting to me.
I want to learn to run and not hate it.
I would have a million different travel locations on my list but then I get depressed thinking how I'll probably never make it to most of them so I don't write them down.
- Visit all 7 continents (3 remaining) - Visit all 50 states - Lots of specific locations - including Vietnam, Australia, Portugal, South Africa, Morocco, Argentina, Hawaii, Spain, the list goes on. - Live abroad at some point (we're considering retirement?) - Live on the west coast - Learn to speak Spanish - See a number of concerts by legendary artists (Billy Joel this summer, Elton John eventually, a bunch of others)
There is a huge one in Albuquerque. I think it's put on annually. I only know that because a local newscaster is a hot air balloon enthusiast
Sad story. We went, got up super early two days in a row to see the take off and lighting and due to weather not one damn balloon got off the ground that weekend. We did see a much much much smaller balloon festival in Baton Rouge and we did go up in one on our honeymoon but DAMMIT!! They have a carnival thing there at the festival in Albuquerque, so we did enjoy that and ate carnival food, but overall we were sad:(
first the Alaskan cruise and not getting to see the northern lights and now this!

I've done a lot on my list, but things I still need to cross off (and most conveniently require more travel!):
See a firefly. See glow worms (I'd like to visit the bioluminescence caves in New Zealand). See the Northern Lights. Set up my property just how I want it (small house with garage, little log cabin in the back of the property, a wood shop, and a quilt room, an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, porch swing, an outdoor bed, and a gazebo. It's almost 9 acres, with lots of trees, so it's all doable). Retire and travel the states in a truck and camper, or camper van/small rv, when I'm done traveling internationally. Or still do both. Replace all my blankets with homemade blankets/afghans/quilts. Unless there is another reason to keep the blanket. Die with my fridge completely covered in travel souvenir magnets.

My 9 person company designed a material for the wing of the 777X airplane. We just finished qualification where we make batches of the material and deliver it to the customer for testing to prove that we can manufacture it repeatability and reliably. My job was to test the material and write hundreds of pages of documentation about the manufacturing process. This in particular is a big deal because it’s a primary structure of the plane rather than an auxiliary component.
Also, once we get a supply contract (will likely be for 30 years), my company’s financial status will be changed forever. It will change all of our lives.
I love seeing all the travel related bucket list items! Travel is a huge passion of mine and I get excited seeing other's plans. This sounds weird but it made my day.
-Visit Wales and Scotland (where my dad's side of the family is from) -Visit Scandinavia (region where my mom's side of the family is from) -Buy a car that I actually want instead of the first thing I can find that's in good shape and in my price range (I tend to drive my cars for years until they no longer run and then have to scramble to find a car quickly) -retire with a comfortable amount of money to live off of -get myself in shape/lose weight and tone up. I want to be able to play easily with my future grandchildren and live a long life to see them grown up -foster Rat Terriers

We have lots of fireflies here! I love them. WE call them peenie wallies for some reason.
- Do my PhD / become head of an agency before I'm 50 - Stay healthy - Hike Macchu Pichu - Learn to scuba dive with my boys when they are old enough (4&6 now) - Keep a herb garden alive for longer than 3 months

I have a lot of travel goals. Last year we decided to go on at least one international trip per year. Our work schedules allow for us to travel during non-peak travel times, so I'm usually able to snag a good deal. I think next year, we'll go 2x/year.
Take and pass the CPA exam.
Live internationally for at least 6 months. (I doubt this will happen)
I have one that so far seems impossible. A lot are travel related.
Spain, Portugal, Greece, Croatia, South Pacific, Alaska specifically, but all 50 states (Alaska is one of 4 I am missing) Run a marathon Olympic distance triathlon lose weight and gain confidence and do a boudoir shoot just for me Hike the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim An indulgent trip with my husband, no kid (hopefully next year!)
-Hug a Highland Cow (Hopefully to be accomplished this year on my birthday!) -See the Northern Lights -Fuck Jon Hamm -Visit Hogwarts (well, the set) at Christmas -Pitch my pilot to someone in the industry
I like to have a mix of things that are easily accomplished if I plan them, and things that will take a bit of luck, lol

The only thing I want is to be an adequate mother to one or even a buttload of kids. I have a heart filled with love and it sucks not to Express that feeling through the action of 'mothering'
