At this point it's pretty much travel related. I'd love to visit Spain, New Mexico, Greece, CA and a whole host of places. I'd love to take a big trip in the next couple of years to really chip away at the list, travel while I'm young enough to explore and enjoy. I have to move out of the state where we're in, I refuse to retire here so that's bucket list at this point. Kinda weird, but reading more than 24 books (hell, reading 24 books) in a year would be awesome too. Probably add that to the retirement list, if I ever retire.

My parents (aged 73 and 68) have just gone off to San Francisco on vacation for 12 days. Last year, they visited the cathedrals of Northern France.
Just to say you can still have fun adventures when you are older!!

Oh yes I get that, I've been on a group tour in Europe with a lot retirees. My big fear is that I lost my mom when she was 68 (also her mom passed at 68), and my dad who just turned 69 is using a walker, not driving with memory issues, so it seems like we have to do things when we're young. My mom's stuff was self inflicted, and my dad's seems to be a health issue out of his control, plus his parents lived into their 90's, so hopefully I'll be fine, but looking ahead I want to make sure I get the most out of my younger years if I can. I like to travel and don't want to wait, life is just to busy to take vacation time for vacation right now, so I've got frustrated travel fever.
A lot of people on here have given good advice that "we'll travel to Spain, or wherever in 3 years" isn't always the best plan because life gets in the way. Last year we planned on a 2 week trip to CA a year in advance, my dad got sick and we ended up with 1 week in FL. This year isn't looking good for a 2 week trip either. At some point I just want to go somewhere and I'm finding it's now or never in case something happens in 3 years. I also fear that I'll work until I'm 68, it's a conversation I have a lot with DH and I'm trying to get better about putting away more for retirement so I can retire "earlier" and do fun things like travel.
Mine is fairly long, but I get to cross one off tomorrow. I’m taking my mom to Ireland in the morning. We rented a car and are going to drive all around.
Have an amazing time. My mom and I went in 2011, it was a great adventure. She was dx'ed with ovarian cancer a year before, and it was our celebration that she made it through two surgeries and 7 or 8 rounds of first line chemo. We planned it while she was in treatment, and went during the time that she was, temporarily, disease free. It was her first time ever in Europe, driving on the opposite side, all of it. We saw the port where her father emigrated from, and all up and down the west coast.
She relapsed afterward, fought for 5 more years, and died in 2016. That trip is an amazing memory.

Aw, thanks so much for sharing! My mom has a plethora of health issues and this is her firs European adventure. I’m so excited to be sharing it with her! We are doing a similar Trip as you and your mom, so I am so thankful to be making these memories. Much love to you

I would like to take our kids on an African safari before they go to college, I want us to treat them on a vacation every year when they are adults, I want to backpack with my husband for 6 months to a year and do an international volunteer trip at some point. I want to keep racing as a runner and find more ways to volunteer.
I want to travel to a bunch of different places. But the previous two bucket list items leave me with little time to do this, lol. Actually, I also want to do a girls trip to Paris with my mom and my daughter. That will be fun.
I wanted to buy a Chanel boy bag and an Hermes Kelly but I don't buy leather bags anymore, so those are a question mark.

The beach house thing is a shorter term goal of ours, although it kind of fell off the radar. We're open to something cheaper, like a module home as we just want a place near the beach.
I don’t to rain on anyone’s bucket list dreams regarding becoming fluent in another language. But fuck if it isn’t hard as an adult, lol. I did really well learning Spanish in high school, took 3yrs and 4 semesters in college, so I have a good base.
I married a native Spanish speaker and I’ve spent a lot of time in Puerto Rico and here at home I’m around Spanish speaking multiple times a week, sometimes even at work. I’m here to say I am still nowhere near fluent.
*Maybe* if I was completely immersed for 6 months? I don’t know. Also the Puerto Rican Spanish is particularly hard as they speak very fast and cut the ends off of words. Colombians are the best for me, personally, to understand.
ETA: I forgot I even took private tutoring sometimes in the last 6 years lol. And we’ve had a few times where H and I tried to only speak Spanish, it lasts about 5 minutes 🤣
I am still kicking myself that i never took my relatives up on the offer of living with them in Spain over a summer to learn spanish and well, get to know my family. KICKING MYSELF. lol
I can kind of understand stuff because i grew up hearing my mom and Gram speak to each other in Spanish, but i would love to be fluent too. Maybe we should make this a team effort and encourage one another. lol
