Its not gonna go anywhere. Like I have said, he reminds people of 2016. No one wants to think of 2016
I hope you're right AND he fades very quickly.
The fucking ego on this guy.
As yβall know Iβm not big on early speculation, but I kind of agree. He has more name recognition and thus more support than most other candidates right now but I donβt necessarily think that will hold as the primaries near.
not surprised. I think because I live in this Bernie Bubble I just see people SO excited about this and doing mental gymnastics about why he has to run as a dem, etc. It is exhausting and frustrating and I am nervous he will get an even bigger following this time around.
God I hate him. And every Bernie bro who wouldn't vote for Hillary.
And if the next nominee is a woman (like Kamala!) it just gives them yet another excuse for misogyny. "Oh! She's just not progressive enough for me! Not like Bernie! Has nothing to do with the fact that she's a woman! I'd totally vote for Elizabeth Warren!... oh wait."
I mean, I'll vote for him in the general if he's the nominee, but hard pass for the primaries.
I would really hope we all would. Evil as he may be, a dead sack of bones would be a better president than our current one. Bernie fits the bill. ππΌ

I mean, we know for certain this is true because a guy who died 30 days into his presidency beat 45 in that ranking of all presidents someone posted yesterday.

He waltzed in last time, left the Democratic party in chaos, and then took his ball and went home and left the Dems to try to clean up his mess.
I wish there was a way he could be prevented from doing this again. He's just using the Democratic party when it benefits him, and giving nothing in return.
One of my Facebook friends has been complaining for the last few weeks that the Democratic nomination process was turning into a clown car because so many people were running or thinking about running and it was going to hurt the Democratic party in the long run because it would take too long to coalesce around a single candidate. But as of this morning...
Here's evidence from Robert Mueller's indictments about how Russian intelligence/WikiLeaks stoked Bernie-vs.-Hillary tensions to hurt the party in 2016
Didnβt he change his affiliation back to independent directly following the 2016 election? Can the Democratic Party say no?
I am more surprised about this than I should be. And more pissed off.
I yell about this every time, but he changed his affiliation at the goddamn convention, as soon as Clinton was nominated. Apparently, he also runs for the D nomination during his Senate campaigns in VT, then declines it as soon as he wins the primary. In short, heβs a boil on the ass of democracy, and Iβm not interested in a blessed thing he has to say. But I do love that NPR used a photo that makes him look like heβs sending back soup at a deli (though I am doubtful photos of him that DONβT look like that even exist).
