Favorite beauty box?

I’ve never been much into makeup but have a new interest I’m curious about all of these beauty box subscriptions. Do you have a favorite? What is it and why? Is there one that you would say stay away from?

Ipsy was great when I was first starting out with makeup. It introduced me to a bunch of great brands and a few favorite products I continue to buy.

Boxy Charm is a really great value since you get 4-5 full sized products for $20 a month. It gets overwhelming fast though since full sizes are harder to use up and they usually include an eyeshadow palette that will take years to use up.

If you like the deluxe sized samples at Sephora their box is nice. I like that all the brands they send out can all be bought from Sephora unlike Ipsy where some stuff would be really hard to find to buy.

I don’t think Glossy Box is worth it compared to Boxy Charm. Same price but deluxe sized products not full sized.

Go watch the youtube unboxing videos as it will really help get a good idea what you would get.

I am a big fan of Boxy Charm. I have been doing it for 3 months. But sometimes people complain about it not following the quizzes but I think they plan to start doing that soon. It really doesn't bother me if the shade is not exactly what I would like. I do like trying stuff out and seeing if the formula even works at all.

I am also trying the Allure beauty box but I have not got my first box yet.

Allure, they always have very high end samples and I have never been disappointed in a box

Second is ipsy

I did boxycharm for awhile but felt like a lot of what they send is their own brands, or items that are clearly discounted/clearanced in weird colors or off brand items. Other than the CoverFx primer I got, I can't think of any product in their boxes that really wow'ed me and I have ended up with a stash of items that I'll never get use out of. For $20/ month I could buy things I actually like?

Ditto Allure. Just got my first one and I was surprised by the excellent quality.

I just canceled my BoxyCharm, but I did like it. I was doing it for over a year and just had so many products that were similar that I wasn't using. Usually each box contains a pallet of some sort (eyeshadow, blush/contour/highlight). I also got so many ugly lipstick colors... they send lots of nudes, which I guess is because they think they are universally flattering, but that is not the case for me. Nude lipstick makes me look dead. The skincare stuff they send is great though. I got IT Cosmentics, Dr Brandt, Tatcha, Farmacy. 

Right now I'm doing a Sephora PLAY! box and I like it so far.
