In the next few months I'm getting a promotion in rank that come with a pretty healthy pay-raise, so most of that is going to go into the "baby-fund" (which might also include a new car). I'm really fortunate that I get completely free healthcare through the military, so I won't incur any costs for labor and delivery. We have a good emergency fund set up already (probably a year and a half of income -- this is mostly left over from my late husband's military life insurance).
I really consider us to be super super fortunate when it comes to finances -- I'm really conservative when it comes to spending and saving, have a wonderful financial advisor, and the military pay and benefit system has really helped me to meet a lot of my saving goals.

We have our emergency fund fully funded, and our insurance is pretty good, so we'll have some small costs associated with medical bills. We plan of being pretty minimal with baby gear. Hopefully we will BF and CD.

We started saving in January which is also when we started TTC and feel pretty good about what we're putting away each month, but if/when I do get pg I am thinking we will ramp it up a bit. Unfortunately our insurance sucks so I want to be well-prepared for OOP costs with that as well as stuff for the baby, time off work, etc.
We didn't come up with a particular number though.

We have excellent health coverage for all the hospital and medical stuff.
I don't want a lot of baby gear, but the things I do want/need aren't so ridiculous in price that we need to be saving up ahead really. We are blessed with a comfortable budget, and I have good but moderate tastes lol. We'll "invest" in things that could go for a second child, like a good stroller and such, and then scrimp on things like excessive toys and expensive clothes.
Baby/child emergency fund would come out of our married one, and regular first year expenses (diapers, for example) will be more closely reviewed when we're actually pg. I hope to do bio diapers for like the first 3 mos, and then cloth if I can handle it. And so the cloth should help a little bit there.
Not too much will need to change though, just some casual shopping and eating out will stop.
We bumped up our health insurance when we started thinking about TTC a year or two ago. Our OOP max is only $1200 or so.
We've been saving pretty aggressively basically since we got married five years ago. So we're just planning on saving less once we have to pay for daycare and other kid expenses without changing our lifestyle.
