I spoke to my vet last night and he shared some concerns about fostering puppies given Nora isn't vaccinated. He said I could do it and just shared how I could minimize the risk but I don't think it's worth it. Whomp whomp. No puppies for me!

I have so much to do today and so little motivation....

Light fluffy stuff right now and I'm trying to appreciate the beauty. Then another snow storm over the weekend and again on Tuesday. There is no place to put all this snow! I am legitimately going to build a snow man this weekend, though. If you can't have fun, what's the point, right? 

And because of the storm over the weekend, we've cancelled our trip to see DD and sold the Hamilton tickets. We will go when the weather doesn't suck!

There is an insane sale on flights to Spain right now. We (my 2 friends) and I are scrambling like mad to finalize how many days before and after the cruise we want to stay in Spain so we can take advantage of these prices.

There's a church down the street from us that built a multi-level one. It has to be at least 15 feet tall.

I'm going to see Elton John tonight. R was supposed to go but plans changed and he can't, so DS is going and is soooo excited. As excited as I am, it doesn't start until 8 so I know we won't get home until after midnight...and I'm old so that's late lol. All but one of my weekend plans got changed (thanks Mother Nature) so I'm trying to be breezy and enjoy whatever comes my way, but I'm a little salty about it.

Today is my friend's last day of radiation! I'm bummed I can't go (it's my long court day) because they do a whole celebration when she walks out, but I'm taking her to a drag show tomorrow, so we'll celebrate then. One of my clients was interviewed by the local news for his art work and my boss sent the link out to all of our organization with a shout out to me and another worker who's been helping him stay sober. It's stuff like that (his success, not the shout out) that reminds me why I do what I do.

Here too! It's scary to back out of my driveway or try to get out on any of the streets because you can't see anything.

We got so much rain yesterday, the river is scary high and there's places where they haven't cleaned up the debris from last week. Our basement is pretty dry though, so I am hopeful.

This weekend we're supposed to have severe storms. Yay?

I'm checking out a band that trivia guy really likes and suggested to me.

As of now, I have dance tonight. Though last week classes were cancelled in part because of the rain and we're supposed to get rain again today. I hope they're not cancelled today!

Last night my dad told me I went to a trade school after my undergrad and that maybe now I need to go get more academic education and to figure out what I want to be when I grow up/where I'll land. It's like he doesn't understand my field. It didn't bother me too much, but at some point I'll have to talk with him about how that sounds when he says it.

It's been a week of grey/rainy days. I am over it. I want sunshine and which brings me happiness.

My team plays tonight in Costa Rica. I wish it wasn't at 10pm. I would like to go out to the pub with the supporters to watch. I did realize this morning that I will be watching soccer from February until possibly December. Yipee!

Yes Barcelona.  It's a girls trip to the Med from Sunday to Sunday but we are arriving a few days early and staying a few days later. It is not until Septemeber but I am so damn excited for this trip.

I really, really, really need to finish unpacking. I should dedicate a certain number of hours each evening for it. I know I'll feel so much better once it's all done.

One of my coworkers had to have an emergency surgery late last week and will be out on extended leave while she recovers. She and I work very closely together so it means I'll be picking up a good bit of what she was working on. I'm looking at this positively by thinking of it as an opportunity to build relationships with folks that normally she interacts with but that I don't. I'll definitely be super busy for a while.

I feel your pain. I had one on Saturday and since then I've had a rebound headache everyday that is completely unaffected by medication. I'm guessing it's related to these crazy weather swings we are having here. I hope yours goes away soon

Provence (Marseille), France

Florence/Pisa (Laspezia), Italy

Rome (Civitavecchia) Italy

Naples, Italy

We are cruising on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas.  The ship is magnificent.  I think we may only do a 1/2 day exploring a few days so that we can use some of the ships amenities.

And here is a tour of one of the star loft suites, except ours has a hot tub on the balcony.

spindle92, Wow that looks amazing. I didn't know cruise ships could have rooms like that!

Please have a Estrella Damm beer for me in BCN it brings back happy trip memories. The Guadi houses are really neat and worth a look if you like architecture. There are real parrots just hanging out in the park. Certain weekends in front of the Gothic Cathedral and in Plaza Reial they have pop up antique/coin markets that are neat to look through. I bought a cool watch at the one in front of the church.

While in Rome if it interests you this tour is really amazing and you get to see the early parts of St. Peter's the crypts where the Popes are buried and you end the tour in the Basilica. It's a good way to see something different and not wait in the line to enter the basilica.

I'm just kind of here lately. Not much going on between my ears or in my life. Nice, steady, and calm.

I do have lunch with my grandparents this Sunday...and H is coming too. So that will be interesting. I haven't seen my grandparents in more than a year. H hasn't seen them in years. Should be an interesting afternoon, but I'm not as nervous as I usually am when family pops up.
