I'm exhausted but holy hell, seeing Elton John in concert blew my mind! He's a freaking legend and he makes playing the piano look soooo easy. It was soooo much fun! DS and I sang soooo much! The whole place was packed and I have never seen a concert where no one got up to get drinks/whatever. Everyone was mesmerized!
Tonight I'm heading to a drag show with DS and my friend and her daughter. I'm hoping to meet up with some friends at the drag bar where more drag shenanigans take place. The rest of the weekend is unplanned. I decided last night I'm going to build a snow fort in my front yard, cuz if you can't laugh at this nonsense what can you do?
Absolutely yes to building a snow fort doriswe! The Elton John concert sounds amazing and well worth being tired today.
Dance last night challenged my brain a little, but that was good. I just need to keep working on it to get it. My body mechanics were all over the place yesterday though.
Just yesterday I discovered an 80s-themed 5k happening on Sunday. My friend and I who are doing the 5k in March signed up together and we're going to dress a little 80s for it! Super impulsive decision, but I'm really loving having friends who want to do things that don't involve alcohol at all, since some of my newer friends seem to only like to drink. Plus, "running" with side ponytails! And you get a fanny pack as part of this, plus a medal that's a turntable. We also talked about getting brunch after the run/walk.
I think tomorrow I'm getting brunch with friends also. This should be a really nice weekend.
speaking of snow forts, I am taking my great nephew to the Ice Castles this weekend. icecastles.com/excelsior
He went a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it so I am taking him back. He asked last night if we could bring Sissy with. Sissy is my cat. I told him that she doesn't have a winter hat or coat so she can't go. He was OK with that. HAHAHA Kid cracks me up.

Thank God it's Friday.
Tonight is trivia, which is always fun. I'm interested to see what happens when the rest of the team finds out that we didn't need them to get 2nd place last week.
Tomorrow is a trip to Sephora and maybe grocery. I have no other plans.
Oh! I didn't tell you guys. I put in my notice at work. 4 months notice, but it was a way to take some power back from my boss who's been kind of acting like she can dictate everything to me. Man it felt good! So I'm job hunting and lining up references and I have really good, strong ones.
Tomorrow my family is meeting to figure out a plan for moving forward. There's been a rift on my mom's side for over two years now and people are finally offering olive branches. It's really good to see but I've been on empathy overload and it's making me anxious. So i plan on listening a lot, since ive only been involved on the periphery of what's happened.
This weekend bf booked us a night at a hotel in a nearby casino. It is sooooo needed and im really excited to spend some good quality time with him. I snagged a romantic and he's endearing as hell.
