Anybody here have fine hair with a short cut? Shorti has very fine, thin, straight hair - the kind that fuzzes up and tangles the second it touches a pillow, not the silky kind that just hangs. She likes it short and at her request at her last cut went back to a full on pixie. She likes it styled a certain way, but it needs a product to stay where she wants it. I have coarse thick wavy hair...nothing in my cabinet is suitable for her head.
With her cut/style and my texture I'd get her some sort of pomade type product, but that seems too heavy for her hair. Suggestions?
Are you just looking for something with a little hold to help it stay in place?
I have fine hair that tangles super easily and it's a pain, but I've found it's easier to work with than the extra styling I *have* to do when it's short.
First things I can think of: definitely blowing it dry in the shape she wants. If she wants to air dry, maybe a very light hold gel in her hair while it's still damp. Something that worked well for me when my hair was shorter (but not pixie short) was the bumble and bumble styling creme. She might also benefit from a spray-on leave-in conditioner, a very lightweight one, to help with detangling. I've used Johnson & Johnson No More Tangles with some success over the years. I think the hard thing is finding products that help, but are pretty lightweight.

Yup, something with some flexible hold. It doesn't tangle this short, so that's nice. The back does stick straight out when she wakes up though. I'll check out the bumble and bumble.
