Friday night we went to our local drag show and had an amazing time! We were celebrating my friend's last day of radiation!! She's officially done with treatments, hopefully forever!! Anyway, I got to meet one of my favorite drag queens, who smelled like cotton candy . Then I came home and crashed because I was exhausted from the night before. Saturday/Sunday was pretty much snow removal all day, everyday. We got another foot of snow and it was blowing so hard they shut down a lot of the roads. In one spot, there were 10 foot drifts over the road. We've had 4 feet of snow in February alone. It's completely insane!
This weekend was good. Friday night H and I went out for Dinner and a movie. We saw the last How to Train your Dragon movie. It was very cute. Saturday was low key, I went to yoga, watched some rugby and soccer and did a few chores. I made a delicious bean soup for lunch this week in my slow cooker.
Sunday I needed a new pair of jeans and went off to find some. I then ended up buying a black water proof parka that was on sale from $180 to $36.00. It sounds so nerdy but I'm about to be at two outside away games for my soccer team and want to sew a patch on the front of the coat so I can still show my team spirit. I can't believe I've become such a soccer nut. This week I hope to meet up with some of the people in the supporters group I joined to watch the two matches this week. It's harder to make friends as an adult and hope I can make some new friends.
I also tuned in to the Oscars. I haven't watched in years but I really wanted Roma, and the Favorite to win things. I'm also happy about Rami Malek wining the best Actor award. He was great as Freddy Mercury.
I am not ready for it to be Monday again! My weekend was good. Friday stay dance I took myself to a Mexican restaurant that was on my way home because supposedly it was national margarita day. The guys working ended up giving me two shots of tequila for free basically because I was nice to them.
Saturday was packet pickup and shopping for 80s stuff. Sunday was the actual race and my friend and I were really impressed with our time! We've been doing some training "runs" and going like 2.3 miles in 31 minutes. We did the entire 3.1 miles in 38 minutes, 17 seconds! The course was completely flat, so that helped quite a bit, but we're still very impressed with ourselves. The rest of Sunday was resting and recovering. I did cook lentil and rice soup again to have for the week.

WHY, MONDAY?! WHYYYYYYY???
Weekend was okay. Friday night we went to this new brewery/restaurant with a friend. Beer was really good, the place was gorgeous and the food was good. We will definitely go back!
Saturday I ran errands and was supposed to go to book club, but it ended up being cancelled. Instead we did a bunch of storm prep as there is an insane wind storm we are currently living through. We are having gust of 75mph!
Sunday I went over to a frind's house for a bit to catch up. Later she was meeting some of her friends (and also people I kind of know) for beers so P and I met them out, which was fun. The rest of the night we sat around and waited for us to lose power, lol. Knock on wood, we haven't lost it yet!
neonpink, I have a soccer question for you. DS wants to sit in the supporters section at one of the Minnesota United games and I'm a little unsure if it would be fine for a 15 year old and his friend. I'd be there too, obviously.
Weekend was good. Saturday was nice and easy. Sunday was mostly relaxed. Took care of a few work odds and ends and then lunched with my grandparents. My word they can talk! But it was nice not to have to carry a conversation. Grandma brought up memories from when I was 4/5 like she did the last time I saw her. A little odd, but a safe thing to talk about, so I'll take it.
It is a gorgeous day here. If it was a little warmer, my windows would be open!

At 15 absolutely. I would totally take a 15 year old kid to an Atlanta game. Atlanta's section stands for 90 and there is a lot of cheering some beer throwing (in excitement for goals) and it's a bit of a crazy mess. It's fun. It's the atmosphere that makes it so much fun.
The supporter's section for Atlanta is amazing. It's loud, noisy, and people cheer their hearts out. It's so much fun. That's a pic from our section
Minnesota's looks pretty awesome too. Be prepared if you sit/stand there that you may not always see because of flags. I sit a little off to the side of the main supporters section so I can see. Being close to them is what makes the match. You sing, you chant you hold your scarf high.
Also like Atlanta I'm sure Minnesota has a tailgate before. The supporters groups usually get together and grill and chat and just have a good time. In Atlanta we have 5 supporters groups and all mingle. Some are more family orientated, some are rowdy and have glitter pinatas (that's mine) but everyone is nice and we all have fun. I would see what they do before a match. (The best place would be join a fan group on fb and ask.)
Thank you soooo much! We've got to matches before but always sat in the boring seats lol. He's mentioned how much he wants to sit in the supporters section and I'm thinking that could be his birthday present.
