Yep. I am most definitely shocked to hear Cummings say Meadows is one of his best friends. Did he seriously just say that? For fuck's sake. I don't like that Talib is backing down on this.
Oh I think that's smart. It stays in the Congressional record if she backs of the slightest bit - if it gets stricken, it's completely out of the record. He just got written into history being called out by a young WOC telling the world he's a racist.

I didn’t know this. Thanks for explaining that.
Yup, my memory on the exact congressional rule is a bit fuzzy but it's basically no ad hominem attacks. Which is why she was tip toeing right up to the line of not calling Meadows a racist directly but saying it's racist behavior - Meadows was demanding that (what he called) a personal attack get stricken. So he (IMO) looks like a raging dick right about now and her comments stay in.

I’ve felt the same way about the lack of peaceful transition of power if he gets removed from office somehow too. It’s scary to think about but I can’t fathom his supporters accepting an election loss or removal from office.
he fears that if Trump loses, there will never be a peaceful transition of power?
Damn. I believe he's right, but it's chilling to have someone who knows him better than just about anyone say that.
who can evict a former POTUS ?!? Secret Service ? Military ? Fed Marshals ?
I don't think there's any precedent for the question. I remember my AP Government teacher speaking with reverence about how the peaceful transition of power was so incredibly unusual and special to the US in the late 18th century.
My H happened to catch one of the instances of a Congressman (R-Backbencher) claiming how well he knows Trump and said he felt like he was watching the new girlfriend tell the ex how he would never act that way to her because of their soul connection. He had the German embarrassment.
Meadows is racist AF, nieces and nephews notwithstanding.
GOP Congressional candidate Mark Meadows, likely to be the GOP nominee in the heavily Republican 11th district of North Carolina, appears to have flirted with birtherism on at least two occasions in recent weeks.
"2012 is the time we're going to send Mr. Obama home to Kenya or wherever it is," Meadows said to applause at a June 9 tea party rally. "We're going to do it!"
At an appearance at a tea party forum on June 12, Meadows said, "we" will send Obama "back home to Kenya or wherever it is."

excellent recap everyone. It's like I was sitting in the room! Good work!
Do we know if Fox aired all of this today or were they playing cartoons for 8 hours?
I hope Anderson, Chris and Rachel give me a good wrap up. Sounds like today was amazing!
I really thought he wouldn't want to run in 2020 because he hates his life so much but then he'll fucking run because it's the only way he can't be indicted and can
pardon everyone along the way. mother fucker. I hope they have state crimes on those fucking kids.

I still see you Republican voters (I know you're still lurking) who went toe to toe with us on these boards for years because you said these people had a better vision for the country. Now that you've done your taxes, was your new tax rate worth everything your people said and did today? Honest to God.

This needs it’s own thread. I always wonder about our dearly departed friends on the right.
(For the newbies, this board used to have lively debates that featured opinions from the left AND right)
