Not exactly makeup related but does anyone have a recommendation to prevent scarring?
I fell last week and got a pretty bad gash on my forehead. The person who stitched me up did a good job and it's healing well but I really want to do everything I can to prevent or reduce scarring. So far I have heard Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter but I thought this board might have some ideas.
I always recommend Biafine from French pharmacie. You can definitely get it on amazon, eBay and some other sites. It works really well on cuts and burns. I hope you heal well.

Any advice on getting foundation out of clothes? I’ve had bad luck before. Igor most of it out, but it wasn’t fully gone. It’s a 100% cotton shirt and the first day I’m wearing it 😢

Did you try a makeup remover? I would think a Micellar water would work pretty good since it’s supposed to attract makeup.

i hadn't bought a single thing from sephora or ulta all of 2019, until yesterday. don't worry - i've done plenty of damage at LUSH and picked up random things like body scrubs or face masks from trader joe's or whole foods or where ever. i saw on the side of one of ulta's promo pics my favorite kate sommerville ($$$) moisturizer. it was 50% off, so i added two to my cart. i managed to not add anything else either, so i call that a win. i just started a new one a few weeks ago, and was going to pick up a new one when the sephora sale finally rolls around to have as back up, but 50% off is obviously better than a 20% savings, so woohoo!!! and, unlike when sephora had it 50% off as a weekly wow last fall, there was actually plenty of stock available online. thumbs up ulta, thumbs up.
I semi failed my 2019 no-buy. I allowed myself to buy a few things (skincare and Smashbox Cali Contour palette since I have a good dent in 3 of the colors in my current palette) from the Ulta 21 days sale. It's stuff I'm going to use and don't have a back-up, so I'm not calling it a total fail since I planned the purchases and stuck to things I will for sure use in 2019.
I may also allow myself to purchase some Drunk Elephant products during the Sephora sale since my BF is now using my Protini on a regular basis.
After 10 years, my Clairisonic broke. It has had issues for a while but it has suddenly stopped holing a charge
Do I rebuy? I really do like it... is Nordstrom anny sale the best time to replace? Or should I seek out another gadget for my face?
Foreo Luna!
So I have one of these.... it’s a mini; it came in a Sephora box and I’ve been using it this week. I’m not convinced it does a better job compared to my clairisonic. I wonder if it’s because it’s just smaller? Can you tell me why you like the foreo?

Clarisonic seems more abrasive. Also I think the silicone keeps the actual device cleaner and free from germs etc. it’s also much smaller and stands straight up

I am tired of my skin looking like I'm still in HS, only with fine lines on top of the acne. It's so hormonal (always has been) and nearly everything I try dries my skin out uncomfortably; Differin doesn't seem to do much of anything in terms of improvement. I started using a glycolic peel this week (from Bliss) and we'll see if that makes a difference. It already seems to be making my skin smoother to the touch, but everything looks about the same. Still, I'm pleased that at least at this point, I'm not seeing a huge amount of irritation or dryness and I'll give it a few weeks to see if things improve.

I was having hormonal breakouts that I couldn't get to go away. I started using Curology and my skin cleared up and I continue to have clear skin as long as I'm using it. I highly recommend it.
litebright, I take spearmint every night to help control my hormonal acne. It really woks and when I stop taking it for whatever reason, the acne comes back.
I just saw on the trend mood IG that DE is about to come out with a balm cleanser. They are really trying to make me just hand over my paycheck, aren’t they?
Also are coming out with an exfoliant, but I’m not as interested in that.
