I've asked this a while back and was told it depends on the person. If LO is sleeping all night and you don't pump all day, then your supply could take a hit. I'd try to pump when you get a chance and just see how it goes. I bet if you do it once or twice a day when you can, you'll be okay even if there are days you can't, but you might deal with being engorged on those days.
When I drop to just one pump a day for a couple days (if I don't get a chance at work) my supply takes a hit. Someone said just pumping for 5 minutes will help keep your supply up.
I don't have an answer to your question (I'm helpful that way), but I cant always pump at the same time and it hasn't been a problem. I would be concerned that going the entire day without pumping would be extremely painful until your body adjusted. I know that on days when I have to wait an hour or so to pump I get uncomfortable, so I cant imagine how it would feel to go 8-10 hours
I pump randomly because I never know when I'll get to a building with a pumping room. I have been fine with it, but I am also only away from the kid for 8 hour stretches 1-2 a week. The other times are more like 4-6 hours and I don't pump at all. I don't think this would work for everyone, but the randomness actually helps me, I think
