What are you training for? Date? Bike racing (track/velodrome, muountain bike) starting in April
Training schedule for the week? Sunday: 90 minute ride (just beat the rain) Monday: Off/massage Tuesday: Tempo trainer ride Wed.: Trainer ride w/intervals Thursday/Friday: Off/other stuff going on Sat./Sunday: Very TBD. It's supposed to rain again this weekend. I'm hoping to get at least one long ride outside. If not, I'll ride the trainer both days.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Another weekend, more rain!
Any AW's or brags? Meh. I'm ready for spring and drier weather.
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? It was a long time ago. A friend had a "King" party where you had to dress up like a King/Queen. There were a couple of Elvises (Elvi? Elviss?), Burger King, King of Beer, Queen of Sheba, Queen of England, and some other funny costumes.

I'm super anxious about Saturday. More so than normal. I don't know why. I'm better trained than I've been for past races, it's not my A race of the year, it should be fun, and yet I'm anxious.
Any AW's or brags? My training has been pretty good, so I'm hoping for a decent race Saturday.
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? I don't celebrate Mardi Gras, so nothing cool. A couple years ago, when I started my current job, a couple coworkers who lived in New Orleans for awhile really got into it and brought in all sorts of treats for it. So that was fun.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I am still feeling it from my long run last weekend through the snow. My poor poor hips.
On another note I didn't get into the NY marathon which I am okay with lol. However I told myself that I would do a 70.3 in late summer/fall if I didn't get in. So I'm working on that- timing and what training looks like. Fuck I probably should get into the pool.....
Any AW's or brags? Nope
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? Hmmm, I don't usually celebrate Mardi Gras. Last year we were in New Orleans around this time post Mardi Gras and that was really fun to see a lot of the decorations but avoid some of the craziness.
What are you training for? Date? Nothing! Just pregnancy and life

Any AW's or brags? 60+ straight days of yoga
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? Mardi gras is not something on my radar. Sometimes someone at work brings in a king cake

Yes! I love Mardi Gras. We usually have a party, but I had my 50k on Saturday, so the timing didn’t work out this year. I’m going out with friends tonight.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! So much crap going on with PTA, activities. My legs are tired. I decided to race on Saturday because then I can build in a few rest days.
Any AW's or brags? I had a very fun weekend. My DD was in a St. Patrick's Day parade, dancing. It was fun and she looked so cute. Afterwards we drove out west and went skiing on Sunday. It was the first time with the kids. The place was really empty and kind of small, but it worked perfect for us. DS did a decent job snowboarding. DD had some trouble, but did good in Kinderschool so we got some adult time on the slopes in the morning.
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? No plans, I don't have too many memorable Mardi Gras, but one year when I was in Lyon, France. I bought some beignets at a bakery and won this little prize. It was this awful clown statue. I named it after my crazy French teacher, Monsieur Le Pin. Sadly M. LePin broke at some point and I no longer have him.
M: worked late, so unplanned rest. Boo. T: hour trainer W: strength, 30 min+ trainer ride Th: 2.5 ish trainer F: run Sat: swim, 5 hours trainer (or...outside??? But probably trainer) Sun: rest
Vent-This will all likely be derailed since I had to pick up shorti at school today. So I'm sure we're all gonna get whatever she had. Fingers crossed it's short lived. (Achy, low grade fever)
Aw- uhh...yeah, nope. I got nothing.
Mardi Gras- I don't think I've ever really done anything for Mardi gras. But I also feel like I'm forgetting something. Lol.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! - My PT wanted me to try new running shoes to help with my knee issues. 100 miles in to my new shoes, I'm having more problems than ever. I just ordered 2 pairs of my old model, and I'm going back to that.
Any AW's or brags? - Nope
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? - Nope. And nothing? We never did Mardi Gras anything growing up. Even when I lived in Alabama, at most someone would maybe bring a King Cake in to work.

Training schedule for the week? Monday: Orange Theory, Tuesday: 3 mile run, Wednesday: Orange Theory, Thursday: 4 mile run pace, Friday: Orange Theory, Saturday: 8 mile run
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! My long runs have been harder than I would like (more walk breaks really). I have to keep remembering that I really just want to enjoy this 1/2 rather than pushing myself too hard and then being disappointed with my time.
Any AW's or brags? Seems silly but my OT coach gave me some compliments on my forms during some core exercises. These are hard for me so it was nice to hear.
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? Nothing this year, though I usually try to grab a paczki

Tuesday: HIIT Wednesday: bike fit hopefully followed by a ride Thursday: something something Friday: long swim Saturday: long run Sunday: ride Monday: rest or yoga
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away!
My IT band is still being cranky. Fortunately it’s been responding well to the foam roller, so at least that’s good news. I just can’t figure out what I’m doing to aggravate it in the first place.
Any AW's or brags?
I set a PR at my race on Saturday. I usually don’t notice my finish times that much, but it’s been SO LONG since I had any significant improvement in time or pace I definitely took note of this one.
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras?
My most memorable Marti Gras are whenever I get it together enough to make a big plate of beignets to mark the occasion.
What are you training for? Date? National women's half 5/5
Training schedule for the week? Monday - pt exercises and swim Tuesday - yoga and a walk on the treadmill Wednesday - weights and maybe cycling? The pool is closed Thursday - treadmill walk and yoga Friday - weights and swim Saturday - run, I'm hoping for 4 miles Sunday - rest
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I have precordial catch syndrome, and it's flaring up after the cold I had a few weeks ago. So I can't really do any, cardio or moving certain ways, and my chest is sore and tender. I'm really hoping it calms down soon because I really need to get on half training.
Any AW's or brags? I don't think so
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? We made red beans and rice and hurricanea for dinner. I wish I had made a king cake. I used to live in New Orleans, so it's important to me to celebrate at least a little.
Considering a 50k in late March but not sure yet. Half marathon in May

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Not really
Any AW's or brags? I started a nutrition program and I’m finally losing some weight and it feel so, so good!
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? Mardi Gras is coming up?
M - unexpected rest day (didn't sleep well) T - Crossfit W - 8 mile trail run Tr - Crossfit F - Crossfit 19.3 S - rest day or short run Su - 5-7 mile stroller run
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I had a great long run this morning, but I feel terrible now! My digestive system is not happy and I can't get warm (I probably just need to keep eating).
Any AW's or brags? Uh, I had a great trail run today. Like, it was so fun and also the longest run that I've done in...14-16 years? I just discovered yesterday that single track mountain bike trails are perfectly valid (and fun!) places to run. So about 5 of those miles were quite technical, because the trails I was running were mostly "for advanced riders only".
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? Haven't really ever celebrated it.
What are you training for? Date? Pittsburgh Marathon 05/05
Training schedule for the week? M: 5 miles T: 50 min cycle, lower body strength W: 6 miles, 15 min cycle, upper body strength Th: 17 miles Fr/Sa: not sure Su: 12 miles
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Busy, so busy. We need to be multiple places at once fairly often in the next couple months and with DH's work schedule it is challenging. Balls are being dropped everywhere!
Any AW's or brags? My foot feels A-OK, so that's good! It was a tight calf causing issues. I think taking 4 days completely off and then jumping into a double digit run after wearing beach shoes was the culprit. I will never understand flip flop and sandal lovers. I'm wearing my fully supportive shoes everywhere from now on. I'm the gal on the beach in sneakers folks!
Bonus question: Happy Mardi Gras, any plans? If no, then what's your most memorable Mardi Gras? Nope. Did I already miss it?
