Weekend was really good. Friday night we went out to dinner and to a traveling off Broadway show with one of P's friends. Saturday we met up with another couple to hit up a new brewery and restaurant.
Yesterday I dragged myself to yoga. I didn't have much time to drink coffee beforehand due to the time change so I did an espresso shot when I showed up, lol. Needless to say I had enough energy for yoga AND a run after, hahaha. I hit the mall later in the day and scored some amazing deals so woohoo to that!
I feel like I'm dragging due to this time change. I could NOT fall asleep last night. I am seriously looking forward to extra daylight at the end of the day though!
Oh hey! I had a pretty good weekend. I LOOOOOVE DST. Not the losing sleep part, but the extra evening light part. It signals prime horse riding season And for some reason I'm sleeping just fine right now (watch it slam me on Wednesday or something random, though!)
Owen seems to be fully recovered, but he's been sitting in a stall for 3 weeks, so I have a solid month of reconditioning work to do before he's back to normal. He and I have many, many dates walking up and down the long gravel hill for the next 2 weeks before we try anything more exciting, but it made me so happy to see how excited he was to go for a ride yesterday.
On the not-great horse side, we were able to have our saddle fitter out finally (yay!), but he deemed one of our saddles no longer a good fit for Owen, so it's back to saddle shopping for us (Boo!). Saddle shopping is the WORST. Not only does the top part have to fit you perfectly, but the underside needs to work for the horse, and the two of us are both non-standard sizes. I mean, it could be simple if I wanted to cough up $$$ for a new saddle custom built, but my bank account says I need to scour the internet and find something used.
I dropped my truck off at the dealership this morning. Fingers crossed they can fix it in a timely manner today, because I need it this evening and tomorrow for sure.
DST hasn't really effected me at all. In fact, I'm feeling oddly energized. Got up and kicked some ass yesterday.
Friday night, I can't remember. Must have just stayed home with DS. Nothing notable, obviously! Saturday I ran errands, kicked ass at yoga sculpt, cleaned, did laundry and then we went to R's for dinner and took the kids bowling. It was a good time and everyone seemed to have a good time. Yesterday, I had did snow clean up, had lunch with my friend and then went to a benefit for a former coworker's daughter who has a really aggressive cancer. I did a zen yoga class last night and then could not shut off my brain so I have no clue what time I actually went to bed. I got up at 3:30 after an awful dream and could not get back to sleep, but oddly feel rested. I did yoga this morning, which I had been skipping for the past few weeks. It feels good to get back into my routine.
Oh, and I'm leaving for Mexico on Thursday!!! I am sooooo excited! I'm packed and ready to get the hell out of here!
The biggest effect of DST so far was me not realizing how late it was, so getting started cooking pretty late and then getting to bed way later than I would've liked.
My weekend was good. The football game my friend and I went to was weird and it was definitely way cooler out than we were expecting so we both got a little chilly. The game itself, the way the people who were already fans (of a brand-new team) were acting, some of the animations on the jumbotron, all made my friend think of the beginning of the movie Major League and made me think of Anchorman.
The hockey game was fun, even though they lost. When my friend dropped me off Saturday night, I thought about going back out, but decided to just go to bed and zonked out pretty quickly.
Yesterday was just face waxing, brunch with a couple dance friends, and then errands and cooking.

I needed lots more sleep to deal with the time change.
The weekend was fun. Friday I went to trivia, it ended up being me, trivia guy, and one other person. Our team had to split so we had enough teams. My little trio spanked the other teams and won. I got a hug and a "thanks for being the best person on the team" when I left.
Saturday, I helped setup for the gala and then went home and got showered and dressed. It was a very fun night and I am glad I went.
Yesterday was a lot of relaxing. The kids and I went on a walk for ice cream then watched movies all day.
