What are you training for? Date? A lot of biking. June 8. A lot of other biking leading up to that.

W - run AM, weights + half hour on the trainer PM Th - 2.5ish hours trainer F - rest Sa - swim, 4ish hours trainer (or maybe somehow outside. but prob not. Next weekend we get all day to ride outside!) Su - maybe run? Go for a walk for the kids? something OUTSIDE.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! It's getting nice enough to bike outside, but it's still just so hard to find daylight hours without kids.
Any AW's or brags? I did not quit halfway through my endless trainer ride on saturday? It was close.
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? No plans this year.
We went pretty hard on St. Patrick's day in college. Started drinking at like 6 AM to pregame the parade... Most memorable was the year I lost my friends in the crowd but came home with a pocket full of military insignia and a new hat because I was wandering through the crowd finding men in uniform who would give me things. At one point I was singing a song that went "navy dudes, navy dudes, I want to find some navy dudes" because I'd decided I needed one of their hats (which, btw, were all too small for me. God I have a big head). And then I peed in a corner of a parking garage because I coudln't find a bathroom. I was THAT girl. Cautionary tale. Except not really because somehow I didn't so much as get my ass grabbed by anybody I didn't want to touch me and nobody caught me peeing. Tale of how to be damn lucky and also get away with terrible behavior...
M: rest T: 10 (5e, 4 progression, 1e), probably a ride & strength this evening W: 6 miles, maybe upper body & core Th: long run F: easy ride, strength Sa: 5 Su: 10 w/ 5x1K

St. Paddy’s Day: Sat, DD1 is volunteering for our local St. Patrick’s Day Run Fest with a school group (trained them well!) so we might all go help out. Then I’m taking her and some buddies to a college lax game. Sunday is a charity lacrosse tournament that the kids are playing in. I’m sure we’ll get some beers after!

Any AW's or brags?
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? I'm not doing anything this weekend but am doing the "St. Paddy O'Pedal" St. Patrick's Day themed charity ride next weekend. A local Irish Bar is a huge sponsor of the ride and provides some of the after ride food.
What are you training for? Date? I'm thinking of doing a trail 10k in April that is a mile or two from my house. Aside from that, all I have is a Spartan Beast in May.

Nah
Any AW's or brags? I PR'd my half on Saturday. I'm pretty pumped about it. It was only by a few seconds, but after the last year of migraines and slow running, I'm pretty pleased.
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? Only plans are to celebrate my grandpa's birthday. We aren't big St. Patty's day people. I do miss the big celebration in Chicago; when we lived there it was GREAT for people watching!
What are you training for? Date? Boston Marathon 4/15

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! Way too much shit going on this week. Just got to get to Saturday afternoon and the craziness should die down.
Any AW's or brags? Ran my 8th straight RNR half marathon, I was sick a few days before it, so I didn't really race. I just enjoyed the day and ran whatever pace my body felt like running. It was fun.
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? H is making some food and I plan on having some drinks Saturday night.
Pre kids, H and I used to take off work and go to the Dubliner in DC on St. Patrick's Day. It was kind of crazy, but definitely memorable. One year we were headed out after drinking all day and going to catch a taxi home. We were running across the street towards the train station to find one. I tripped and fell and my chin landed right on the curb. Ugh. I ended up getting 19 stitches on my chin the next day. LOL that was the last time we went to the Dubliner on St. Patrick's Day.
Backpacking Trans Catalina Trail starting 3/17 My 18-miler on 4/27 is questionable as I am sorely undertrained running-wise. I would feel more comfortable finding a relay team to join. 12-hour ultra in July
Training schedule for the week?
Yoga, yoga and more yoga, with a spin class and some easy hikes mixed in.
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away!
Work life balance is out of balance at the moment, but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Any AW's or brags?
Nada
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? We'll be celebrating on the trail with a toast. My ultralight beverage container with some ounces of Irish Whiskey is already packed :-)
Memorable St Patty's Day? I'm Irish, so pick any St Patty's Day during college or my early 20s.....
What are you training for? Date? - Half marathon 4/6, IMTX 4/27
Training schedule for the week? - Mon 2700 swim and 35 minutes of speedwork; Tues FTP test on the bike; Wed - 2:30 long run; Thurs - 3700 swim; Fri: 1:10 run with hill repeats; Sat: 3 hour something trainer ride and 20 minute brick. Sun - rest
Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! - My trainer is being a jackass. My bike trainer (Wahoo Kickr Snap), not my coach. And I have a giant knot in my upper back that will NOT go away.
Any AW's or brags? - Non-H/F related - I had an article accepted for publication that's a sole authored piece in a top tier journal. I've needed something like that to hit for a while.
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? - No plans this year. My most memorable one? When I was 18 I was working as a hostess in an Irish restaurant. The staff was planning to go to an Irish bar after work. One of the bartenders made me a few drinks to pre-game, and when we got to the bar, all my older co-workers formed a circle around me and just pushed in past the person checking ID's at the bar. I proceeded to drink a fair amount, and then made out with one of my co-workers. Good times. :-)
I finally said something about it to my mom this past summer - that I got smuggled in to the bar, and she just looked at me and said "You didn't drive yourself home, did you?" with a LOOK. Even if I did mom (I did not), It was 23 years ago. What are you going to do now?

I made a sports massage appointment but the soonest they can get me in is 2.5 weeks. I just need to hang on through this week and next of crazy mileage. One day at a time.
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? No big plans this year, will probably partake in a Guinness or two, or three Most memorable had to be when we were in Chicago a few years back with the green river and festivities.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! TMI, but I seem to have to use the restroom after 8 miles. Need to figure out how to make sure I poop before I run.
Any AW's or brags?
Bonus: Any St. Patrick's Day's plans? What's a memorable St. Patty's Day that you have had? Nope. I don't think I have ever celebrated besides maybe remembering to wear green.
What are you training for? Date? Can you believe I still haven’t decided on a 50k at the end of the month? Like...DECIDE, do it or don’t. I know I shouldn’t, since I haven’t done anymire than 15 miles in one run since my 50k in Jan. Once I wrap my head around letting that go I have a half in May.

Any issues/vents/complaints? Vent away! I’m clearly undecided on many things.
Any AW's or brags? I’ve lost 7 lbs. I have a lot left to shed from my big weight gain of 2018.

Do it! I mean, if you want to. I'm guessing your fitness is still mostly there, it hasn't been that long since January. Not that I know what I'm talking about, I've never run that kind of distance. But still, once you get to those long distances half of it is your base fitness and ability to fuel properly throughout.

I think the excitement of the first one and with it being snowy and filled with friends, all of that got me through. If I’m alone on this one and it’s warmer, then I’ve got this self doubt.....I think I should not do it. I’m afraid I’ll regret it and DNF.
