candy apples

my church is having their apple festival. I normally make candy apples but this year I want to jazz them up.

I made a sample last night of caramel, dipped in chocolate and then rolled in chopped pecans. It looks good.

Any other ideas for what to roll them in? I know lots of kids dont like nuts. How about colored sprinkles?

I showed a picture of my sample at work and one guy ordred 6!

We are also making apple pies......500 of them.
