I am pretty bummed it's Monday. I would like one more day of weekend, please.
Last night I was at the laundromat until it closed. I also was on a tear after my dad left and I got rid of about 5 trash bags full of stuff plus a ton of recycling yesterday. I think I was spurred on by two days of beautiful, sunny, cloudless weather and being out in the sunshine so much both days.
Yesterday morning my dad and I met up for breakfast, then walked around a couple of different neighborhoods, and ended up going for tacos. It was nice to get father-daughter time together.
Saturday my friend and I went to a St Patrick's Day parade and then had lunch after. In the evening, I went to a friend's birthday party and got to wear a green sequined dress I'd rented for the occasion. At the end of the night, I was at a bar where I know a lot of people. I ended up pissing off two men I know (one who was there, one who wasn't) by the end of the night and I'm just over it. I cannot deal with these guys being more easily offended than me, considering I'm pretty easily offended already. One blocked me on Instagram, which just made me roll my eyes.

Friday night we were exhausted so we ordered pizza and watched a movie.
Saturday we went to this maple sugar open house, where they did all you could eat pancakes (YUM) and you could see how they made maple syrup. After that we went to go test drive some cars, and made money as we got AE gift cards for doing so. We did have fun doing the test drives and both cars where ones I'd consider.
Yesterday we were bored so we went to a local garden show and then went out with his parents for dinner.
I seriously cannot believe it's Monday already. I just want 5 more days of the weekend. Le sigh.

tiramisu, I drove the Infiniti Q60 and a Mini Cooper. The Infiniti is sexy, quick (400hp!) and comfy. Downside is it is pretty loud inside and the backseats are completely unusable if you are taller than 5'6.
The Mini we drove was a John Cooper Works Mini so it had more horsepower and a stiffer suspension. That car was FUN; it was like driving a go-kart. I liked it but there are zero used ones in the JCW and I wouldn't spend that money $ new for a Mini. I may consider leasing one, which would be a win-win because I'm pretty sure I'd get sick of it in a few years. The dealership guy said he'd give me one for a day so I will probably take him up on that.
My problem is that I want quiet, luxurious, and fast....but I don't want to pay the price tag to get all three, lol. And because I don't NEED a new car (mine only has 61k miles on it and works perfectly) there's no incentive for me to actually make a decision.
My weekend consisted of pretty much laying on the couch, icing my calf. Normally I would kill for a weekend of laziness but when it is forced upon you, it messes with your mind.
Fun weekend for me! I have been slack on my book club book (that is due today) so I spent a lot of time reading/finishing that.
Saturday we adopted (our foster dog) Rusty and took him on a nice hike. The weather was real nice this weekend, I think it’s a first that it hasn’t rained in I don’t know how long.
Yesterday I went to see the Mumford and Sons and they were awesome. I’m a bit sleepy today, but managing okay.
I took friday off but still want to be home today. Friday night was spent with maintenance and a plumber because my kitchen sinks started spewing water and dinner remains from someone on the upper floor. Water and gunk everywhere. It was pretty gross but i'm thankful the team in my apartment complex is so responsive. It was cleaned up and remedied all in two hours.
Saturday was full of st. Patty's day festivities. Bf and i went to a parade with his bestie and walked everywhere. It was SO GOOD TO BE OUTSIDE YOU GUYS. Later we met up with some more of his friends and went home early, since you know. Drinking since 11 am. Bf had a little too much fun. Lol
Sunday i had lunch with my parents and studied for class.
Tonight i'm going to a concert with bf and one of my good friends, but honestly....i just want to be home and sleep. My introvert needs a break.

I wish I could have slept more this.
The weekend was good.
Friday, I got out of work early and ran some errands. Then I went to trivia, one of the dudes on the team kept telling me that he thinks I am brilliant and that it's sexy. Which would be flattering if he actually called me by my name.
Saturday, I got invited to hang out with some of the regulars and the bartenders from my local. We started at a brewpub and ended up at another brewery. It was super fun. The weather was really nice.
Sunday I volunteered at church and then ran around trying to find DS2 a suit for his wax museum this week. I scored a three piece suit for the same price as a jacket at target.
cuddlyevil, was this the first time you met him? I am HORRIBLE with names and it usually takes me more than once to remember someone's name.
Nope! We've known each other for about a yearish. He was a guy I saw intermittently and chatted with, the bartender introduced us officially last summer and when he left that day he got my name wrong. And he just kept at it, even when people were calling me by my correct name in front of him. He finally caught on a month ago but still does it. It was a discussion point on Saturday and it's the general opinion that he's got selective hearing but also that my wanting to call him Clark is probably a good idea.

Unless the guy has some sort of severe cognitive issue (like a past TBI), that is really odd. I mean, I am not great with names but holy hell, I can remember someone's name after a year...
My weekend was really good. My sister and grandma came into town for my birthday. Friday night my sister (B) and I walked on the beach to a beach bar for dinner. We took roadies and just kinda strolled and it only took us 15 minutes to get there. Saturday we slept in and were generally lazy in the morning. My mom and grandma came over at lunch time and we went to a grilled cheese restaurant for lunch. Yep, entire restaurant dedicated to grilled cheese. Best.place.ever. Then we went over to my parent's house to just hang around chatting. There was some wine consumed, of course. Sunday we were lazy in the morning again and then went to Best Buy to get me new TVs. They won't be delivered until this weekend but the guys will completely set them up so that's worth the wait to me. Then Sunday night we met my parents and grandma for dinner at a place on the river. My Dad gave me a squeegee with a really long handle for my birthday. I had been talking about needing something to clean the sea spray off the outside of my windows the day before so Sunday morning he went out and got it for me. Might be the coolest birthday present I've ever received.
And now it's Monday. I technically took the day off. I'm doing a little work but not that much.
