I was hoping you ladies could help me with a foundation question. I love Lancome Rénergie Lift and have been wearing it for a while. I have no problem keeping with it but I was wondering if there were comparable products. I work by a Sephora and have a gc there as well and they do not carry it so I was hoping this could be an opportunity to try something new. I like that it's light-feeling but buildable and has a dewy finish. I am almost 42 and I look it, so something that works for aging skin is preferable. I have very uneven skin tone so I need at least medium coverage.
I also love this foundation and have spent the last month getting samples of new foundations to see if there is anything else out there that I like better. There hasn’t been lol.
I love it for all the reasons you state long wearing, doesn’t emphasize lines, dewy finish.
I tried all the new releases: hourglass, Dior, Laura mercier, L’Oréal infallible, also retried it cosmetics cc. Just went and repurchase the Lancôme. Nothing compared.
You could try Make Up For Ever Ultra HD. Some people love it, some hate it. I find it to give nice, skin-like coverage and to be somewhat dewy or at least satiny. But if you have something you love, I also don't think changing it up is necessary.
Would you be open to drugstore? L’Oréal True Match is a great medium coverage foundation that doesn’t settle into lines. More of a satin finish though.
ETA: Flower Beauty Light Illusion is also supposed to be pretty amazing but I can’t attest to it personally. I have been using PF The Healthy Foundation for a bit and really enjoy how it sits on my skin, but it does darken a shade.
Thumbs down to L’Oréal infallible for me. It just seems to cake up in the spots I don't want it to. Tarte Amazonian Clay is full coverage but seems to dry out. It's a old one. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream light weekend coverage. I like it but I do find that I have to also use a concealer
So basically I am on the hunt for something new. I have also been trying the Elf concealer and the dewy coconut setting spray which seems to help with the drying out part.
Thank you for all the ideas! One that kept popping up in my googling was the Armani Silk. anelms - since you also love the Lancome, did you try this one? How did it compare? I am open to drugstore brands, I used them for years (the True Match actually) but when I started this it was like night and day for my skin. I went back briefly to what is supposedly the L'Oreal dupe when I was empty waiting for a coupon and it just wan't the same I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?
gummybear I did try the Armani. It looked nice to begin with and had a great color match but I found that it tended to start to flake on my dry areas halfway through the day, even with good moisturizer and a luminous setting spray. The lasting power also wasn’t as good
Update: I went to Sephora and they gave me Laura Mercier Flawless Lumière Radiance-Perfecting Foundation and Too Faced Born This Way to try. Both feel heavier on my skin than the Lancome and are not as dewy without my NYX Dewy setting spray. But when I test the "look" with natural light car selfies (for my viewing only LOL) they LM looks absolutely lovely. I have a few more wears from my samples so we'll see.

If you’re looking for something lighter feeling the Dior Backstage is really nice. It’s probably my favorite foundation right now.
