I had monitoring Saturday am which was super crowded. The girl taking my blood wasn’t great and she ended up stabbing me in both arms and using the side of my one arm to get my blood which really hurt. I added cetrotide last night and it also hurt like a bitch.
This morning I went back and it looks like my follicles around 11-13mm. On Saturday they said I have around 26 follicles. Just waiting for a call to see if I need to change anything.
The HcG is giving me all the hunger pangs...like immediate need to eat something lol. I am trying to snack today to see if that helps.

Vmars that sucks so bad. I hate it when that happens with the person taking my blood.
I think we have a few people who are waiting on betas this week yes? I can't remember my memory is awful sorry. But good luck to those waiting and those doing any testing or treatments this week.
We talked and due to timing of everything we are going to do our era cycles first so next month. Mostly cause I want h home to give me the progesterone shots. Also found out my clinic will take 40 percent off your treatment if you are elgiboe and apparently we are elgiboe so whatever insurance doesn't pay (which will be most of it except maybe the ultrasounds and some of the pre testing) we get 40 percent off. Which makes it much more in line with the other ivf clinic's around here. Not sure why they just don't lower the prices as it seems most everyone is elgiboe for it but whatever.
Work, going to get my horizon test done, and workouts is all on the schedule this week. Also seeing my therapist and hopefully my bestie this week.
I'm a bit concerned and could use your advise. I went this morning for baseline monitoring for our final FET. On the ultrasound they indicated HYDRO. I am using my old RE to monitor because my new RE is in a different state. The new clinic I'm at it's common to do "outside" monitoring. They're great about calling with results, adjusting meds etc.
On my last ultrasounds for FET1 there was an indication of HYDRO and I didn't think anything of it (was a failed cycle). On CD4's baseline it was there again. I've done some research and that's one of the biggest reasons to cancel an FET because it can be toxic to an embryo. My current clinic hasn't gotten my ultrasound results yet but according to the tech it's showing.
I talked with the "travel team" and it was dismissed saying they'll wait for the results but if it's fluid it'll go away using benedyl and no cause for concern.
Would you push this with them again? We are transfering our final 2 embryo's and I really don't want to go through another failed FET, or another retrieval. Had anyone had experience with this?
vmars , I'm a hard stick as well and I found that the more liquid I drink the night before makes the blood draw so much easier. You can ask for a head pad prior to blood draw also, that's helped me

Today I drank a ton of water on my drive in and it went well. I think it may have been the girl/I was a little dehydrated on Saturday.
My IVF nurse called and said everything is great and I am on track for an egg retrieval on Friday or this weekend at the latest. I go back Wednesday for more monitoring. Feeling good about that and it will be nice if I have the weekend to recover.
megstoo - after my ectopic pregnancy my RE told me that they are going to watch for fluid in my uterus and if there is any he would be postponing the transfer so I would definitely want more information before proceeding with the transfer.
pandora89, Thanks, I talked with the nursing team again just now and they said there's no indication on my ultrasound of hydro and not to worry about it. Something in the back of my mind is telling me to proceed with caution though. I go back on Monday for another monitoring so if it's still present I'm going to push even more. This is the problem with monitoring out of state. The RE I go to for monitoring can't advise me and is only there to do the ultrasound/blood. I hate to keep saying price is why I'm not with my old RE but that's the biggest reason (11k versus 4k for the exact same cycle).

I had a cycle canceled due to fluid before. Anecdote: I read online to take vitamin E. I did that every day and it never happened again for any of my other three FET cycles.
Met with the RE to go over all my testing results (waiting on Hs SA since he only just did that on Friday argh). But all my results came out fine, minus both my tubes being blocked. My AFC was 15 or 16 and AMH was .97 (it was .98 3 years ago).
We got the paperwork with our protocol, all our consents so we are good to call in on my day 1 for whenever we are ready. I don’t think we will be cycling till early June though but I am excited that things are happening. He seems fairly confident in our cycle.
He also reached out to compassionate and all our gonal-f and cetrocide covered and will just be OOP for menopur which is a huge help.

We are doing one last IUI this month. IUI should be this weekend.
I have a consult for another RE practice next month. When I went to request my medical records, their QA dept called to see why I am going to another clinic. I told them price. next day my doctor called me and told me they got me in for the IVF trial if the IUI does not work this month. (have to take a month off in between tho).
So I am a little concerned. I had my morning monitoring apt and only a small few were 14/17 mm. The RE said to do one more day of stims and come in tomorrow but I may be able to trigger tomorrow. I am worried that I don’t have enough follicles. On one side they noted I have like 8 small follicles. I will talk to my IVF nurse later, but I am getting nervous. Today is day 8 of stims.
Waiting in REs office for transfer at 8:30. Took the whole day off so I’ll go get a pedicure after this to relax. Then the dreaded TWW.
Fingers crossed you can stay distracted and get good news soon!
I was actually supposed to be in trial all next week which would have been a great distraction but I was also worried this was actually going to be a distraction from that! I’m not sure which would have been better.
Someone talk me off the ledge....right now I only have 11-13 good follicles out of the 26 I started with. I was told with my chromosome abnormality that 15 follicles would yield 1-2 normal embryos. I am supposed to go in tomorrow am and up my HcG tonight. I will trigger either tomorrow or Friday. I am so worried I won’t get any pgs normal embryos to transfer back. If ER happens Saturday it will be 6 yrs to the day that I conceived DS.

vmars, don’t panic yet. That’s still a lot of good follicles and in my experience those last couple days help some of the smaller one catch up. Even from the day you trigger to ER you might get one or two that jump up and catch up with the others. Thinking good thoughts for you!

vmars, that happens to me all the time at the end. My sheet this time with the timing on it said I could have my retrieval anytime between Thurday, 2/14 and Sunday, 2/17. It ended up being Monday, 2/18 and I got 31 eggs with 24 fertilized, 20 day 3 embryos and 9 day 5 blastocysts, which was by far the best I ever did. You've got this! They like another day to ripen them up, but it honestly doesn't mean anything - just that you have a better chance of a good end result. Good luck!

I think my first ivf I had somehwere between 6-8 follicles and they only got 10 eggs. Out of those 9 fertilized and 8, made it to day 3 transfer (what my re at the time recommended). You can still get enough and you may just have a higher fert rate. I can't speak to testing because we didn't do any additional testing we are when we do it at n in August though.

I have read it’s quality over quantity...just stinks that some are just not really growing. Hope I come out with at least one normal embryo.

Today’s monitoring went a lot better. Most of my follicles were around 15-19 mm I think I may have 15-16 now. The RE said I should be able to trigger tonight, but the latest would be tomorrow.
I am def triggering tonight but waiting on my times. Retrieval is Saturday morning. Also, remember that job I applied for? Well I got an interview for it (also got the call today) for Monday April 1st. Will I be feeling ok by then?
I’m out this month. I’m spotting and I think CD1 is going to be today or tomorrow. I won’t know for sure until CD1 but we probably won’t be able to do treatment this month since H will be out of town during ovulation time.

Oh 100%. I was uncomfortable after my retrievals but felt better within a couple of days. Good luck!!!

I need to bitch about something for a minute. My RE sold and became part of a larger doctor group earlier this year. My office is still the same and I like them, but I’m not sure I love the main company. Today, on their Facebook they posted pregnancy announcement photos. Granted they are from one of the RE patient couples and I get that but am I alone thinking it’s weird for the RE to post pregnancy announcements?
vmars- GL with your retrieval! moonriver- I am sorry EllenGriswold- the announcement they posted was weird? Or the fact they posted one at all is? Admittedly, I do not follow my REs FB, not sure if that’s normal or not. I guess strangers at an RE getting pregnant bothers me less than people I know, plus it would show me the clinic works.
