I think once again, two things can be true. She *could* be “a changed woman” and “a devoted mom.” (I have my doubts, just saying it’s possible.) But she is/was ALSO a fraud and essentially a con-artist who did awful things and deserves to be punished for those things. Just because our justice system takes time to process things doesn’t mean people can get away with things by saying they’ve “changed.” That’s not how this works. Or at least not how it SHOULD work.

She reported to prison in TX today. Her sentence is just 14% of the up to 80 years she could have received. Her many victims will never be made whole, but I hope today felt good to them. Now here is hoping she serves most all of it.
