1. Where are you at on this journey? TTC #2, Cycle 2, CD 8
2. Any tests this week? I'll probably start OPKs on Friday
3. Have you planned your summer vacation yet? Yes, we are going for a week to Myrtle Beach, SC with DS. He'll be 2.5 by then so it should be really fun!
4. Questions, randoms? Anyone use progesterone suppositories? I hear OBs/REs have mixed opinions, but I think I'd like to give them a go since i have a ton of spotting during my LP. Also, fun fact: if we are successful this month, then my due date would be FIL's bday.
1. Where are you at on this journey? (TTC#, month/cycle, CD, DPO) TTC #2, currently in a loss cycle, CD 22, am pretty sure I ovulated but I’m really not charting this cycle to give myself a break.
2. Any tests this week? No.
3. Have you planned your summer vacation yet? Also no. Because I was planning to save up vacation time for some more time off before mat leave was supposed to start we hadn’t made plans. Then I was laid off, now I’m working again and not pregnant so we need to start talking about it. We might do camping, or a cottage.
4. Questions, randoms? Hcg is back to <1, ultrasound came back normal so all the testing related to the miscarriage is finally over. My referral to the OBGYN came through and I’m seeing him on April 10th.

1. TTC #3, Cycle 3, CD11
2. Probably take some OPKs this week. My whole family was super sick last week, I had a 103 degree fever for days. I'm so nervous I fried all my eggs I've been working on. I've also heard that being sick like that can delay ovulation. I'm not super hopeful for this cycle. I wonder if I should skip this month in case the eggs are all bad now.
3. We usually go away to the beach for a few weeks. I'm just hoping I'm pregnant by the summer.
4. I have to do some serious spring cleaning. Hoping I find the motivation to get organized. So happy the nice weather is on its way!

I've been debating this as well. I've seen two REs and my OB, and all seem to not be too concerned with progesterone supplementation for those who conceive the traditional way. I've never been tested despite mentioning the spotting. However, my OB did give me a prescription to ease my mind. Because I've had losses at 10 and 7 weeks, they consider those to be a different issue rather than implantation. I've read lots of conflicting things as well. It can't hurt though, and my OB said there is something to be said of having peace of mind.
Good luck with your appointment achi I hope the 10th comes soon. I hope you're feeling ok.
Thank you! And thanks for checking on me. I’m doing ok, I still have my moments. In some ways it’s still surreal. I just can’t believe it happened twice in a row like that. So now I am partially terrified that it’ll happen again and partially anxious to get on with it all and try again. I hate being benched. Hopefully the OBGYN will be quick about his testing so we can get some possible answers and a plan for moving forward.
My biggest fear after recovering from DS’s birth was that there would be excessive scarring from the c-section because the incision got infected. I had an anterior placenta with DS and if those embryos tried to implant in the same way I worry that they wouldn’t have been successful because of the section scar. My doctor said that it was the incision site and not the uterus that was infected and that it shouldn’t cause an issue, and my midwife assured me that if it was going to cause an issue it wouldn’t be this early (which is also simultaneously terrifying for a future pregnancy that gets past 5 weeks). Soooo I just have a lot swirling in my head. I’m trying to focus on throwing myself into the new job and make the next few cycles go by so we can start trying again.

Yay! I was so excited to see this post today!
1. Where are you at on this journey? (TTC#, month/cycle, CD, DPO) I think we are now onto cycle 6, day 2.
2. Any tests this week? Nope.
3. Have you planned your summer vacation yet? Not yet. We’ve had vague conversations. But picking a week around SD1s school, her camp schedule, SD2’s custody schedule, my grad school schedule, and our time share schedule is complicated. Since it’s so late, we probably will have very little options. DH has been so busy that he hasn’t had a chance to look at the options yet (his pre-marital timeshare, so I don’t completely understand).
4. Questions, randoms? If I get light (almost no but still enough for me to see) brownish, mucus discharge, does that count as Day 1? I started feeling cramps on Saturday (day 22), so I figured I was getting my period. I was expecting the mucus to start yesterday, but I was still deeply sad to see it. This one hit me a little hard - I feel like so much is on hold because of TTC, and I’m kind ready to just start living again. And we got pregnant on the first try the first time. But that baby had a fatal birth defect, so he didn’t survive past 14 weeks so I am a little neurotic about avoiding everything and anything in case I do get pregnant.
If this brown mucus is considered day 1, I’ve been having 25 day cycles. I see REI on April 4th.

chocolatelove I'm so very sorry for your loss. That's so heartbreaking. If that's not bad enough then TTC and PGAL is so difficult. (Hug) When I was doing RPL testing with my REs most of the testing was done on CD3. They considered CD1 to be the first day of full flow. I have days off brownish spotting leading up to that, but those aren't considered the start of your period. Good luck on your journey. I hope it's quick.

Thanks, landmermaid, for the condolences, info, and well wishes. I was considering those brown spotting days as Day 1, so that throws all my data that I complied for the REI off. That should be fun to revise.
1. Where are you at on this journey? (TTC#, month/cycle, CD, DPO)
Cycle 22ish. Cd 26 11 dpo
2. Any tests this week?
No. I am hugely pms and our timing wasn’t great this month.
3. Have you planned your summer vacation yet?
We are spending a week in New Hampshire. They have a few amusement parks and great hiking and shopping. It was always my favorite vacation as a kid and I love taking DD now.
4. Questions, randoms?
I was on progesterone both times I’ve been pregnant. The first time ended in a loss and the second time we had DD. my progesterone started off crazy low with both pregnancies and the meds were great for peace of mind.

I get the fear of scarring. I didn't have any infection, but I've had two abdominal surgeries (the last one was two months ago) and worry about any internal scarring that could have occurred. I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I hope your upcoming appointment goes well!

Did you use progesterone to conceive or just once you were pregnant?

Just once I was pregnant. Each time initial bloodwork showed low progesterone. With my loss it only rose a little then fell again. With DD it went up and stayed up
1. Where are you at on this journey? (TTC#, month/cycle, CD, DPO)
ttc1, CD7
2. Any tests this week? My RE is having me redo the HSG - this will make the 3rd time in less than a year. They found fluid on my last ultrasound so it's time to investigate
3. Have you planned your summer vacation yet? what summer vacation? Sadly we don't have the money for one this year. We just did a kitchen "facelight". The onyl thing that stayed was the counter and cabinet. The rest of the money is in use for IVF#2
4. Questions, randoms? I'm just getting so wiped out. Mad at the RE that they were going to continue with FET2 knowing I had fluid. I'm glad I read enough to know it's toxic to an embryo and I was the one to cancel the cycle.

I used the inserts for IUI's 1,2 and 3. They were fine but you're going to soon realize that panty liners will be your best friend and you won't leave home without. I didn't have spotting but once you come off of them from a negative beta watch out. The period after is horrible.
Now that we're doing IVF we no longer use the inserts but use PIO instead and endometrin.
