How is everyone doing this week? I took the day off just to have more time to rest up and get some things done around the house. I am still sore, but getting better every day thankfully.
Anyone else feel weird knowing their embryos are in a lab somewhere? I won’t get another update until Saturday. It is killing me! Then it’s still another 10 days before I get PGS results.
I had my 3rd HSG on Friday and of course the person noticed hydrosalpinx in my left tube. My 2 previous HSG's were clear so why now. Of course I haven't heard from the RE about what's next which is starting to bother me.
vmars, I felt weird to that after retrieval I was done and like they're sitting somewhere else on "ice" and then I started to freak like what happens if the machine malfunctions and they're gone etc. I know it's very rare but I was having all sorts of bad thoughts.

Yeah it’s such an odd feeling to know my potential future child is living outside my body right now.
megstoo- I’m sorry they found something, hope it doesn’t delay you long. vmars- glad you could rest. I was a little freaked out that my lab was getting upgraded in Dec and worried something could happen to my embryos. It is weird.
Started my PIO yesterday, it’s twice a day until transfer, which is different than my last RE. My right buttock is soooo sore after this mornings, it must have hit something just right. I’m feeling a little emotional today, crying for no good reason, I think I’m really anxious for Fri to come.

I hope your transfer goes well! I am not looking forward to pio shots.
I had CD4 ultrasound today to check baselines. Everything looks fine and there is no cyst, so it looks like last time it really was just a big follicle and not a cyst. So I suppose it’s good it wasn’t a cyst but a bummer that I didn’t get KU. We have to skip this cycle because my H will be traveling. If his business travel keeps getting in the way we might do IUI sooner rather than later.

red I don’t know how you are doing PIO twice a day! My behind would HATE me! Also I realized over the weekend if I don’t use heat before I do my injection I end up with itchy, red welts where I do the shot. I have one on the left and one on the right from Saturday and Sunday.

It suuuuucks. I might try some heat because I don’t know how I’m going to survive. I think it drops to once a day PIO after Fri when I start the vaginal progesterone though.

When I had to do PIO I used lidocaine first, put it on 30 min before, wipped it off and then iced for 5 min. Once the skin was numb I did the injection and massaged right away. I never got knots or sore spots because of it. The only thing I felt was when the needle first touched the skin but nothing after. DH did the injections for me everytime and 99% of the time he'd say he was done and I'd be like that's it. numbing and icing made the difference.
DH got a voicemail from our nurse that 2 embryos made it to biopsy. I got a receipt from the lab but it was less than I was originally told it was going to be. DH called to check and that is when we got the news there were two that were biopsied, but that’s all I know so far. Still no call from the lab about the details.

Vmars keeping my fingers crossed for you
I feel like this week has been a week.
Spoiler @ mentioned below
My niece (the one we took car eof over Christmas) has been complaining about tooth pain. My h knows a local dentist from his networking event for work and got us a deal for her to get seen (x-rays and cleaning). Anyways after fighting with him about dental costs, calling my brother (her stepdad the one who carries any medical insurance on her) and confirming she has no dental insurance. We took her in today. She had to have two wisdom teeth removed and has a lot of cavities and decay going on. We did the wisdom today and have an appointment in a month to start the cavities decay issues. My mom is mad that we are paying for this because we shouldn't have to. I called my brother and he doesn't have any extra money to spare to help right now (heay send us some in the future though).
But at least she is out of one of the things that were causing her teeth pain. My mom said she is going to send us money since she knows we are starting ivf and had to divert some of our ivf money to her for this.
Had my FET today. This clinic is so much more organized than our last one, we were in at 11:30 and out by 12:00. Transferred one 4AA. Beta is not until 4/9 because I can’t get out of work the day before. At least the PIO is now only once a day instead of twice, vaginal at night.
Not much going on here. My beta last Friday is finally down to 7, so they are considering me not pregnant and I have my appointment on April 15th to move forward from here. (They initially said that I had to do blood work until it was 5 or under but the nurse said that I have done enough blood work for now as 7 is low enough, thankfully)
I some how missed the call, but 4 embryos made it to blast and were able to be biopsied. Much better than the 2 I originally thought. I don’t have any info on quality. They said it can take 2+ weeks to get the results back.
awick14- glad your blood work is down and you can get started. vmars- that’s great! I hope you get several normal ones.
I started the vaginal progesterone (200mg prometrium) last night. Had the worst migraine this morning and threw up 4 times. Took Tylenol and my morning estrace and kept it down. It’s now 11am and finally feeling better. I hope my body adjusts and this isn’t an every morning thing. I’ve been on endometrin suppositories before with no terrible effects, but googling this prometrium leads me to believe the side effects are pretty common.

Is it possible to switch to the PIO? I don’t know if that’s a common side effect of that.

Thanks I appreciate it. It hasn't been easy to have instant and unexpected custody of my 17 year old niece. I am also extremely fortunate that my parents have helped out and chipped in on her medical costs. We would do it regardless but it does help ease the burden.
Glad your blood work is trending down so you can move forward but sad that this happened to you.

I am also on PIO. Thankfully today I was fine, maybe it was the sharp increase in progesterone. Fingers crossed I’m ok tomorrow or I will need to call the RE and see if we can change anything.
