H&F fangirl AW!

I got to meet (and take pics with) Kathrine Switzer twice in 2 days! I know you all would understand how awesome it is! Yesterday she did a fun run with about 150 people. My 10 year old dd and I ran and ended up right behind her for half of it. Lol the store who organized it posted a photo on FB and my kid is running right behind/to side of Kathrine (I’m hidden 😩)!! Today we got to have a little more time during a meet and greet and got her to sign her book for us and got some great pics together. She had my dd promise to always keep running! Then we got to hear her speak and it was just so wonderful and empowering!! She’s amazing! Such a great experience for my dd!

Anyways had to AW to people who would get how cool this was! Here’s a few pics of her!

I’m mostly a lurker here, but I was at that same event today! I’m not even a runner but she was so inspiring...such a great event overall!

Oh I was there too!! I really wanted to go to her talk the next day but couldn't swing it with work.
Absolutely love that you brought your daughter, what a special thing to share.

Yeah she is so inspiring and love how she made it relatable and not just running. But as a runner I loved it too!

Cool! The run was fun! Did you get a chance to meet her? I can’t wait to see the rest of the pro photos! I’m hoping he got some pics of both of us running right behind her. I’m so glad my daughter got to meet her and hear her. Such a great role model!

I'm jealous! DH and I did a local 5k a few years ago. I turned around before we started and Kathrine was right behind us! I was too surprised to say anything when I had the chance, and still kick myself over it.
