I got my first period post ER and the cramps are the suck. To add to it I had a job interview for a promotion today. I think it went well, but not the day I would have picked for an interview lol. I think I am going to need to day 3 blood work tomorrow for my FET cycle, which means more getting up early. At least we are taking another step forward in this process. The waiting is killing me.
So now just biting my nails until the results come back if any are genetically normal. They said once they come back normal there’s about a 5% swing either way. I can’t believe one is considered fully hatched already too!
I have another WTF call tomorrow with the RE. I also got a copy of my HSG results which showed: "dilated proximal portions of the bilateral Fallopian tubes and bilateral tubal patency demonstrated". I'm still SO confused how this can be when my HSG not even a year ago was clear. Until this and the "hydro" that was noted on my baseline ultrasound a couple weeks ago gets cleared up I'm not going to move forward with the final FET.
If I'm being honest I'm sort of regretting this clinic. I completely get that all clinics herd you like cattle and is about a profit, but the "travel team" I feel here is just ill advising people and had I not seen hydro on the ultrasound they would have let me continue to transfer which would have then failed. While I'm glad I pushed for answers I feel like I'm back out in left field. This is also the biggest difference between my old clinic (which was 11k for 1 cycle) and this clinic (4k for 1 cycle).
((megstoo)) it’s so hard finding the balance with the clinic. That is a huge difference in price and I likely would have made the same decision as you did in terms of switching clinics but it’s so frustrating to think that the clinic doesn’t have your best interest at heart.
DH got his SA results back and the results weren’t good. Nothing has really changed since his varicose procedure 2 years ago which sucks. We thought he also did the DNA fragmentation test but that apparently isn’t until the 18 and then we have to wait another 2 weeks after to get the results. Hoping that comes back fine because I know the SA results don’t really matter because we are doing IVF. Just telling myself that we had a successful cycle with similar results before. P
Vmars keeping fingers crossed Pandora hugs Megstoo deciding on a clinic is hard and hugs
I just had a bunch of new testing done today for levels (amh etc) I think it was around 15 vials for everything? And I still have day 3 blood work to do in a few months. Also got my horizon one done at the same time so in a couple weeks should get that back. Made scones this afternoon and now painting my nails.
@ deleted a bunch of stuff essentially it is a shitty shitty Monday in dealing with some family shit and people not being the people I thought they were may be cutting out some family or at least restricting them to I will be cordial when I see them but won't pursue any other relationship.
pandora89, I am sorry about the bad SA, that stinks ilovecandy, oh man I don’t miss getting all that blood taken, it sucks. megstoo, I am glad you are saving so much money but it’s sucks you aren’t getting the same level of care you are entitled to
vmars- sending good vibes your way for the testing! megstoo- I had an awful experience at the first clinic I went to, they were clueless. A good RE and their staff makes all the difference now. I’m sorry you are having troubles, but hopefully you will get good results still in the end. ilovecandy- just because people are family, it does not mean you need to deal with them if the relationship is unhealthy. Took me too many years to realize people never change. Sorry you are dealing with things.
Waiting for beta next Tuesday, 4dp5dt and starting up get antsy. Headaches are coming and going but not as bad as my migraine last week.
In other news, we are under contract on an adorable house! Happened rather quickly, we were going to wait a few months but found “the one.” It’s an adorable buttercup yellow house with a front porch and dormers. This is our 3rd house and after doing tons of work on the others, this one is brand new. :-D Should close the beginning of June!!
Oh, we have a BBQ Sun and I don’t want to drink in case. Any good excuses? It’s with 3 friends who I drink wine with EVERY time we get together. I’m sure they’ll suspect something but I haven’t told them about IVF.

A couple of weeks ago (during TWW) I had dinner with friends who I *always* drink with. When my friend’s husband asked what he could get me from the bar, I told him I had a migraine the night before and was just going to have water. It was actually true, I did have a migraine the night before and still felt not so great. Maybe that excuse could work for you?

Are you even remotely religious? When I did my first IVF cycle I told people I gave up alcohol for lent. People bought it. I'm not super religious, but I am catholic.

I've used the excuse of giving up alcohol for lent, and saying I was on an antibiotic for a UTI. The other thing you could do is use a wine glass that isn't clear and has a little color and just keep putting water in there.

Will they notice if you are actually drinking? Just get a glass and hold it but don’t drink? I’ve done that with a beer bottle - carried it around without actually drinking and then dumped it in the bathroom.

I usually do a I am trying to reduce my drinking, the doctor said I shouldn't drink, I have to drive (this only works because most of our friends know if we out only one of us drinks because one of us drives and after living on a military base (a fee years ago)where they are super strict about it this has become our norm even living not on a base). Or I over drank the night before so I am not drinking today.

Will your significant other be there? Can you both have a glass of wine and periodically swap glasses but you don't drink any?
I have gotten a beer bottle before, dumped the beer into a glass for my husband and filled it with something else carbonated and drank it over the course of the evening.
With my parents, it usually works to just stall. "Oh I'm super thirsty right now, so I'm not ready for a glass of wine yet." Then everyone else starts drinking and forgets I'm not! If I can get through pre dinner drinks, no one tends to notice because they have all moved on.
My bloodwork came back good, I am starting birth control tonight and she’s putting the order in for my FET meds. She thinks my results will be back by next Friday. Woo hoo!

I’m fairly certain I drank with them a few weeks ago though before my cycle started. H is Catholic but they know I am not. I might just go the migraine route and say I can’t drink with the meds I took or that I’m driving H home like ilovecandy says. It might get a little tricky if I just tried to hide it because the ladies usually sit together with our wine bottle and pour out our drinks all at the same time (lushes lol). The boys do their own thing usually. Thanks all for some great ideas! Many of you are very tricky indeed.
I have been getting all my blood test back over the past couple of days. And they ran amh. It is low guys. It is .5. I want to curl up and cry.
Anyways day one started yesterday so now I am taking my medicine for my era cycles and I get another blood draw today for progesterone level. Yay my next appointment with my Dr should be fun going over all the test results.
ilovecandy- I am sorry your AMH level is down. Do you know what it was your last cycle? Many ladies here have had success even with lower levels, I’m sure they will chime in.

Hi there, 0.56 AMH at 35 years old here. I completely understand. I felt like I had been punched when I saw that number. Give yourself some time to feel your feelings about it. I needed some reassurance and posted on the graduates board. I got a lot of success stories. I'm hopeful for you.
I have to go back through my old info to find my old amh. I am not completely surprised it is low though. Though it was lower than I thought it would be, I was thinking it would be more borderline. In my first ivf 3 years ago they only retrieved 10 eggs which at the time I thought was low but I had a good fertilization rate so I guess that is what I will hope for again. I am 31.

10 eggs isn't bad at all. I have a high amh and they only 9 from me on the first cycle. Of those 9 only 6 were mature and only 3 fertilized and I have failed FETs. I know AMH can change quite a lot in a year.
Had my first injection last night of menopur and Gonal F mixed together. Left a dark purple bruise the size of a quarter. Pretty normal? I just wasn’t expecting it!

You may have just hit a blood vessel. Menopur burns like crazy and always gives me red welts. I’ve never mixed them together. Probably because my Gonal was a dial pen and prefilled.

Thank you, I think that’s exactly what must have happened. Tonight’s injection felt a lot better and left zero bruise. My Gonal is also in a dial pen but I was directed to inject it into the menopur vial so I would only have one injection.

Well darn, I wish one of my two REs had shared that was ok. I always had 2 shots! Glad this one went better.
