IT'S APRIL ALREADY HOW THOUGH AND WHY???

I have a direct report who's been here a bit less than half a year. She's great. Love her.
She's now my FAVORITE EVER though, because she got a box delivered to the office from deciem, so I asked what she got and we got to chatting skin stuff and mentioned that i keep putting the retinoid in squalene in my cart and then not actually buying it...and she was like, "oh...I have some of that. It didn't get along with my skin, i'll bring it in for you." And today she did. Nearly full bottle.
So now I REALLY have to get her a raise...

I ordered my first colorpop eyeshadow palette and I am looking forward to trying it out. I am a sucker for glitter shades and colors I don't have and that villains one was just speaking to me.

I want to try the GOT palette but since I just ordered the color pop one I just do not need any more shadows right now. $65 dollars is crazy expensive. The box though looks like a collectors item.

Oh good! I'm running low on my Peter Thomas Roth (excessively long name) gold toner stuff and apparently Ulta isn't carrying the toner anymore? They have the other stuff of the line but not the toner.

Speaking of Ulta, I have a crap ton of points and should use them as I am pretty certain I won't hit platinum this year. I know it's only April but still I am just not buying like I used to - I've hit the proverbial make up wall. So I have all these points hoarded and not a whole lot of ideas on what to pick up, I can do some stocking up but still I'm just not motivated.

I am pleased to report that after a couple of weeks of the glycolic peel, I am cautiously optimistic about my skin improving. It is certainly smoother, which has made a noticeable difference in applying foundation. I think it's more even in tone as well, although that's harder to tell.

The real test will be how things stand over the course of a full menstrual cycle, though. I'm still in the "relatively good skin" portion of the month.

I was at Sephora picking up a new Beauty Blender and the Jouer creme eyeshadow crayon in rose gold caught my eye. I ended up leaving with both and a sample of Slaai.

It's a deeper rose color compared to the Laura Mercier one with the same name, slightly less frosty. I think the wear is probably comparable. It blended out nicely and I didn't notice any creasing. I'm going to wear it again today and see how it does.

It feels like it’s been forever since they’ve done one. I wonder if after the sheer number that they gave us last year they are slowing down.

marissap, Last year I don't remember receiving very many 20% coupons in the first 5-6 months. It wasn't until toward the end of the year that I was getting a coupon every time I turned around.

Me too and I juts placed an order over the weekend of course!

I'm tempted to re-order with the coupon and just return the order to the store, but that might be too much work.

I went on a quest to find tinted moisturizer with mineral sunscreen. I settled on Supergoop CC cream. I hate the name of the brand, but it’s a very nice CC cream. Highly recommend.

has anyone been able to snag a sample of the new DE slaai? Last time I went to sephora, they would only give me samples of items in a pump, so I don't want to waste a trip specifically for the sample if this is actually the case and not just the sephora chick being lazy.

I haven’t tried this product but I’ve definitely gotten samples of masks that come in similar tubs - glam glow and tacha that I remember for sure. So I think it was a case of lazy.

So Becca restocked that Berlin Glow highlighter and I totally bought it. It’s the one product I’ve been annoyed I missed out on. I’m sure they’ll add the shade to their permanent collection at some point but I want the special packaging lol.

So, I used the Revlon hairdryer thing that everyone has been raving about and I'm meh on it. Maybe it's because my hair was only about 30% still wet, but I'm not getting these "just like a salon blowout" results that I keep hearing about.

Yes, I got a sample in a little pot. I didn't love it, though. I prefer the way my skin feels after my Paula's Choice cleansing oil.
