I'm contemplating trying out some new foundations. I've been using MUFE Ultra HD concealer blended over my tinted moisturizer and is beautiful, but $$ to use as a foundation.
The ones I'm considering: Smith & Cult, Clinique Even Better Glow, Chanel Les Beiges, Flower Beauty Light Illusion, and L'Oreal Infallible Pro Glow. Or giving my MUFE Ultra HD foundation another chance. I have dry skin, some redness, and want something that looks skin-like and wears well throughout the day. I guess I'll be seeing how many samples I can get to try the higher-end ones out.
The formula of the flower beauty foundation is lovely but it oxidized like nothing else in my face. I bought the lightest shade and it was straight orange within an hour.
That's really disappointing to hear. What's your skin type?

Generally combination, but I’m finding it leaning more towards solidly normal as I’m getting older. I don’t get as oily in my t-zone as I used to.
My favorite foundation is Too Faced Born this Way, since I get a nice dewy look without looking too overly shiny or made up. And I find a little goes a long way.

Thanks! I really appreciate it. I have pretty dry skin, so I'm already looking for hydrated and dewy skin. I might have to go to a lot of playing at Sephora!
I've been looking for a good purple eyeshadow palette for a long time, and finally found one!
Flesh Starshine, at Ulta. I love the colors yall, and they blend out nicely. I'm wearing the matte violet in my crease today. I also put on the pale lavender glitter on my lid this morning and there's very little fall out.

secretlyevil now I need to look for those Bare Republic mineral sticks when I go to Target later. Those would be great for little areas that need sunscreen.
I want one of those Bite Lip Stains, and have been stalking Temptalia all week waiting for a review to see if they are any good. Usually she's so fast with new products from popular brands, but I guess she's got too much other stuff to review right now.
If anyone else is curious, I found this youtube video. Vlogger is annoying, but basically it goes on like a lipstick, feels like a lip balm, and the stain stays for hours and hours even after getting wet. So I'm going to need one.
Same girl. Same.
Just deciding red vs pink.
Hahahahaha. Red.
They didn't have it in stock yet at my Sephora so I had to order online. Went for pink. Matches with my bathing suits and thus has beach time written all over it.
I went to Nordstrom to explore foundations yesterday. I ended up getting a sample of the Chanel foundation I was interested in and buying the Clinique one. After I got home, I checked the color match again (the woman at the counter had applied it to my face) and it had oxidized and become much darker, plus I could feel it sitting on my face. I felt much better when I wiped it off and now I need to go back to Nordstrom and return it. Dammit, this is what I get for breaking my own rule.

My order arrived today.
The pink is soooooo pretty. It’s going to be my lip of choice for spring/summer.

Got mine today. I cannot believe something this light and balmy has so much pigment. And the wear time is incredible.

How does it compare to regular Bite lipstick?
The texture is much thinner, but it tugs a little more than a Fresh lip balm going on. And at one coat, it's not quite the same pigment level as a regular Bite, but with two coats, it is . I'd say that regular Bite lasts longer as a lipstick -- ie it will look super pigmented longer than 2 coats of the stain will. But the stain stays looking good for a long time. Once the lipstick-level look fades, it still looks really good with no patchiness for hours and hours, and lasts incredibly well through food.
