Hi all! I know y’all had been a big help to me in the past about our upcoming safari and was hoping I could get your opinions again.
Everything I’m seeing says I need a visa for Tanzania, since we’ll be there over 14 days. I’m not sure what my best option is though. I’m more of a “plan ahead” person and want to get it done before we go over there, but I’m really not comfortable with mailing our passports and having to rely on someone to mail them back. Has anyone just gotten the visa when you got to Tanzania and want to give your thoughts on that? Or should I just suck it up and do it beforehand? We land in JRO, if that sways your decision.
As a side note, a friend mailed her passport in for a similar trip and it was temporarily lost. They eventually found it but that was an unnecessary few days of stress.
Our agent is out until 4/22 and his backup hasn’t gotten back to me yet.
there is a line at the airport to just do this onsite....nearly everyone on our flight did this. We got ours ahead of time and it was a huge relief to have that passport back in hand.
