My kid will be 6 at the end of the month and has basically only given us 2 ideas for gifts.
1. PJ Masks HQ (which MIL is supposedly buying, but need to confirm with DH)
2. Sparkly net for over her bed
Other than beefing up our board games, I'm out of ideas. She has a scooter, a bike, a power wheel, a swingset, and all the other outdoor stuff. She's not a huge "toy" kid, so the idea of filling up our playroom with more dust collectors is out.
She loves arts and crafts, but got a ton of that for the holidays, so we don't really need anymore.
We have memberships to the local stuff, including Busch Gardens.
We got ds1 small stuff - a book series, a football, a hockey set, a globe that is also a nightlight, a couple of board games. Then he got to choose an activity, he chose mini golf haha. We didn’t get him anything huge and he didn’t seem to care.
Books Jewelry Box Charm bracelet you can add to over the years Fun clothes from Justice Sports stuff if she is interested (tennis racket, soccer ball/net, etc.)
A Bedazzler. With a 40% off coupon it was only $14 at Michaels. We bought it for my older dd who was making a costume for a school project. My kindergartener is obsessed with it. She asks every day to “glitterize” something.
I do things like undies, PJs, and regular clothes as gifts when needed. I try to get clothes that fit with whatever she's into (unicorn undies and unicorn jammies, e.g.).
If your kid has a device you could give her money to buy stuff in apps?
Honestly, whenever I can't figure out what to get my kids, they get more different art supplies. I know you said you have a ton, but here are some not-just-markers items that are very popular with my kids:
Hijack: I have to give a gift to a 6 year old boy in a few weeks. What do they like?? $15ish.
Lego Nerf Guns and darts Star Wars Any combo of the above
Also if I'm not sure I text the parents and ask what they are into these days. Or I just do a gift card so they can go and pick out an accessory or something that they want.
clothes swimsuit & cover up/flip flops/swim bag sleeping bag for sleepovers special markers or gel pens with fun journal book Nightlight Other PJ Masks items?
Same boat. We got a kids' echo dot that she desperately wants. Otherwise I was going to do "cool" new bedding. We're hopefully moving this summer and I am totally over stuff for the sake of stuff.

DD is 6 and like yours. She doesn't play many games, she doesn't like dolls. She loves arts and crafts. If you have too much of that stuff, how about art lessons? Or a GC for lunch and a trip to one of those paint your own pottery places? AR workshops offer days specifically for young kids, and both of mine like that. $$$ though. Mine also likes to read or be read to. Right now she likes the Rainbow Fairies books. Do you travel much? Maybe a toiletry bag or suitcase? Slime, buckets and buckets of slime.
My daughter turned 6 in January. Here are a few ideas of things she likes:
JoJo Siwa shirts/clothes (Target and Kohl's are just some of where you can find them) JoJo Siwa hair bows LOL dolls Osmo dance/gymnastics leotards Wall stickers for her bedroom (my DD loves to move hers around and since they don't wreck the walls and come off easily I just let her go to town!) Apron for the kitchen Chalk Hair chalk
Do you have a Great Wolf Lodge or something similar in the area? Or some other fun "experience" type of present?
We did GWL for DD at age 2. She had a million handmedown toys from DS and a birthday a month before Christmas and needed for nothing. Kids both loved it.
I still had a small doll and some smaller things I would have bought anyways (new shoes in her next size), so she could rip through some wrapping paper the morning of her birthday, but I was happier to spend the money on an experience she enjoyed vs. more stuff.

I took my just turned 6 yr old to American Girl Live (available her birthday weekend) and then to the American girl store where i told her she could pick out her first Big doll. She picked Luciana the astronaut.
We didn't do a party this year and did the activity and doll. She was super excited and knew it was "special". I am sick of buying a bunch of smaller junk toys so I actually loved this.
Haha. I think she was on Dance Moms? I'm not sure. She is mostly known for her gigantic bows. You can find them everywhere...Justice, Target, Michaels. They are a big deal in DD's 2nd grade class and I guess her "concert" or whatever that is coming here in September sold out in minutes.
DD could care less. She is not into bows at all and is way more tomboy than JoJo. Frankly I'm ready for her 5 minutes of fame to be over because DD gets so much shit at recess for not being into JoJo bows.
