Hopping into Thursday!

How is everyone? I’ve been working and trying to get back to a good routine. I’ve also had a stomach bug and that has been awful. (Even though it jump started some weight loss.) I’m hoping I’m on the mend. Otherwise things are same-same but with sunshine.

School's closed...snowmaggedon again! I'm watching R's kids because I can work from his couch and he's got a real grown-up job where he has to be. I'm hoping we'll cancel court today because I don't really want to go in to the office.

I'm trying to get back into my groove for eating/exercising. DS turned 15 yesterday...holy hell, how did that happen??? I got a new supervisor and I told her I'm going to continue to do what I want and she laughed. She sent me two emails thanking me for my candor and for being myself.

I've been having the most vivid dreams lately but then never remember them in the morning. Like I wake up in the middle of the night, weirded out by the dream, thinking "I need to remember this" and then nothing when I wake up.

My sleep last night was not restful. I'm sure my excitement about my job offer is why.

So for those who don't know, I got offered the job yesterday! This is a bit of a dream job and I'm really excited!! I have to figure out when I want to start and I think I've decided. I'm calling my dad before I go in to work to talk it over with him, though. I also need a little bit more information from the company about what my training schedule will look like. So I'm trying to make sure I have a couple of ideas/plans in place.

Really that's the main thing that's been going on for me.

I've been flying solo all week - starfishing the bed is MARVELOUS, but I'll be glad when M is home tomorrow night. Tomorrow is kitchen counter day, although thanks to a UPS delay of some super-size brackets, they're only installing 90% of my counters tomorrow; a "floating" section will have to wait for the proper supports to show up (hopefully it'll be a quick install of that one piece next week). This means I have to disconnect my faucet and garbage disposal by myself tonight. Should be a delightfully fun time, if I can get the exceptionally corroded water shut offs to turn.

Saturday is my birthday. I am dying to hit up Costco, IKEA, and the Container store. Oh, and I want more houseplants. LOL - my life is glamorous, right? What I really want for my birthday is a new freaking job, but I'm still plugging away at applications to anything that isn't a distressed company and hoping something will turn up.

We're now 2 weeks from leaving for vacation, and I can't wait.
