The ordinary? Or Sunday Riley? Or DE?

Okay so I was all set to buy some stuff from the ordinary. Their retinol, the aha and the lactic acid because it’s cheap. But then I just saw Sephora is going to have their sale soon.
I’ve been using neostrata retinol. I’m about out and need a retinol stat! I like it but don’t LOVE it. I have only used DE once (I don’t even remember what I bought) and it made me break out but I’m soooo tempted by their retionol? Is it that awesome???
People swear by Sunday Riley. I was thinking about getting good genes. Should I just wait for the Sephora sale or try some ordindary?

I've never tried Ordinary, but have used the Sunday Riley and liked it ok.  (Luna is SR's retinol, not Good Genes)

I used and liked Pestle & Mortar Superstar more than Luna - it was less greasy to me.

I need to find another and start using it again myself.

I use the Ordinary retinoids and love it. It took about a week for my skin to adapt but since then it’s been fine. I follow it up at night with their hyaluronic acid and I have no irritation or dryness.

Oh! I’ve been wondering about pestle and mortar. Is the only reason you liked it because it was less greasy?

Nope, it also wasn't blue.  LOL

I have dry skin, but Luna just seemed to sit on the face for me.  Superstar was just... more pleasant? ... to wear/smell/use.

I really liked it, now that I'm thinking about it, I just need to reorder it.

ETA I used Superstar with SR Good Genes and liked the combo.  Very moisturizing.
