I don't think I have read the books from last year but I got three new ones anyway!

I always get them all.  LOL!  Except I think I only read the one from Greece last year, and it was so repetitive.

Some of these look interesting, but is it OK to be a bit disappointed that 5 of the 9 are from northern/Western Europe? I'm really trying to expand my reading horizons!

I started reading This Life or the Next over the weekend, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's a fictionalized account of an individual's life, written by someone who is not the guy, but told in the first person. Not just told in first person, but told in the form of interview answers where the questions are not provided. It's awkward. But I'm interested in his story, so I'm going to keep going and just hope that the format gets more comfortable as it goes on.
