We explained the Easter Bunny.

It is almost midnight and the 8 year old was still awake because she was so afraid of the Easter Bunny coming in our house. We had already started filling eggs when she began screaming. She was scared because she could hear the eggs that we left for the Bunny closing and "knew he was here".

Despite being almost 11, her older brother believes in all of the magical persons and will be devastated when she tells him. She cannot keep secrets so it's gonna be out by the end of tomorrow. I know he was due to find out, but was kind of hoping he would discover on his own in a gentle way.

We did. She we actually surprisingly secretive and did not blurt it out to her brother. She did a lot of "the Easter Bunny knows all about you DS" with extremely obvious **wink wink nod nods** at us, told him where to find some of the eggs and told him what was in them (we let her do a few to help calm her down) and accidentally thanked us for things loudly multiple times, but he was oblivious.
