Any vents/whines/requests for alcohol and hairpats? DD and I were in a car accident yesterday. Everyone is ok thankfully. It was my fault so it's going to be $$$. I'm just annoyed that I made that stupid mistake. We had to wait around for an hour or so for a tow truck. It was just a pain all around. H is an insurance adjuster so he's been great at taking everything.
Work and life are really busy so it's going to be a very crazy month.
Any AWs/Brags/awesomeness? I'm still planning on writing a race report for the Boston marathon just need to find some time. But I ran a 3:36:25 and I'm thrilled with that!

Any AWs/Brags/awesomeness? Spring in Atlanta lasts for about 2 weeks (in between the season known as The Pollening and the one known as Hell's Front Porch aka Summer), and it's been glorious.
Bonus: What are favorite warm weather tips? How do you survive the heat? Water. Lots of water. I bring my Contigo water bottle that keeps water w/ice cold for up to 15 hours with me everywhere. I wear as little clothing as possible when I ride (sleeveless jersey designed for hot weather & shorts). Air conditioning. More AC. More AC.
What are you training for? Date? Trail half marathon TOMORROW Trail 25K on May 11th
What does training look like this week? Easy short runs all week, race tomorrow!
Any vents/whines/requests for alcohol and hairpats? I haven't been getting a lot of sleep lately. DS2 keeps getting up in the middle of the night, and last night I got woken up by work.
Any AWs/Brags/awesomeness? I'm probably a bit under trained for tomorrow, but I'm excited because it's my first half marathon of any kind.
Bonus: What are favorite warm weather tips? How do you survive the heat? Spend time in the heat as the weather gets warmer, to help your body acclimate. I've definitely noticed that in years when I spend a fair amount of time outside in April/May/June (which in Texas it's getting in the 80s and 90s), the true heat of summer isn't as bad. Of course it helps if you're not being subjected to 68 degree offices in the summer, it's much harder to acclimate if you're forced into being cold for most of the day. So even though it's tempting to start turning my home A/C on, we're keeping it set as warm as we can stand for a while. Oh, and of course once it's blazingly hot out, if you must be outside being active then dump water on yourself as often as needed. Assuming the humidity is not sky high, any water you dump on yourself to keep cool is water you won't lose to sweat, and it's really easy to sweat out much more water than you can drink/absorb. Last year when we went to the 4th of July parade, it was super hot and we brought along a spray bottle of water to spray ourselves and the kids down with - it was super effective!
