I just kicked some ass at my 7 mile road race. It went about as good as I could ask for. I am home for a quick shower, then off to pick up my Dad. My cousins baby is being Baptized today! My Mom is going to the church; So I am bringing Dad with me to the party.

I am up and done with what should have been an easy 7 miles. Instead, my lingering cold made it a rough 7. Grocery shopping and resting are my only plans for the rest of the day.
Lifted with my trainer and out to do 6 easy miles.
Annoyed by the lady that has the session before me: she’s started hanging around through my session, watching, commenting on everything, chatting with my trainer. There’s a REASON I pay $$ for a personal session instead of going to class: 1) I don’t want to socialize and chit-chat, I want to work and I do NOT like working with other people hanging around watching, and 2) I want the undivided attention of my trainer
Today I started completely ignoring her and halfway through she backed off to the other side of the gym to do her foam rolling. I’m happy to chat after but GTFO when I’m working!
I’m up but spending the day with the kiddo and DH. Once she goes to bed I’m doing 7 on the treadmill. It snowed alllllll day yesterday and I’m not up for dealing with the slush.
Well ive been up for a while. Ran the NJ half this morning. Now just getting ready to have lunch then head home. It was...not great. But three years in a row of injury will do that (abd my achilles wasnt perfect today, so that sucks).

I’ve been up and went and spectated a Duathlon with DD this morning. I’m thinking of doing some light lifting while she naps if my head ever feels like it won’t explode from sinus pressure.
Busy rest day today. I've already been grocery shopping and to a birthday party. We're supposed to go to the kids' running races this afternoon but DD isn't feeling great so it might just be DS1.
In other news, I did my half marathon yesterday! It was awesome! Several people I chatted with were like "you picked *this* race for your first half marathon?!" It's a pretty tough course as it turns out. Lots of running on this big granite dome. A lot of people got lost, but I thought the course markings we're pretty good almost everywhere, as long as you were actually paying attention. Anyway, my feet hurt today and I'm tired, but so glad I did it.
I did a mountain bike ride earlier including 2 of the hardest trails in the area. They always kick my butt. I finished with a fast, flowy, fun trail that I like riding. The trail system has 33+ miles of singletrack for mountain biking (mtbers have the right of way), hiking, running, etc. It's my favorite place to ride. Next up is lubing the drivetrain of a couple of bikes, playing w/the fit of my gravel bike, and some light yard work.

I slept in and ran 3 miles at an easy pace and walked the dog a mile. I’m going to yin yoga tonight and it’s my favorite workout all week. The instructor is a runner so she gets us deep into our fascia and it’s so relaxing. I get to see my runner trainer tomorrow and I’m geeked to have her show me some stretches for my piriformis syndrome and more strength work for my hips and glutes. Trying to decide if I’m going to train for a half over the summer or wait until the fall and run shorter distances and ride my bike more.
