red, my office has is wean off the meds starting at 9 weeks. So this week Iโve just done estrogen and progesterone every other day. My last shot is tomorrow, and Iโll be 10 weeks on Friday. I remember being nervous but mostly excited about no more shots. I think the placenta actually starts taking over by 8 weeks so you should be fine!
As of yesterday we are officially graduated from the RE for #2! Now I have to decide on an obgyn and we need to start thinking how and when we are going to tell G! Iโll be 9 weeks tomorrow and I feel like Iโve already gained all the weight. Eating is the only thing that settles my stomach so Iโm just constantly eating all day. Iโm looking forward to telling people so I can just embrace the maternity clothes and stop feeling like I need to suck in my stomach.
I have my last RE follow up tomorrow as well, weโll be 9 wks this Sat. They mentioned stopping my progesterone and estrogen then and I am so nervous despite looking forward to not getting a shot in the bum. For those who have done an FET, when did you stop your meds? I feel like Iโm still just bloated/fat, but this is my first not my second.
First time, 11 weeks because i just finished out my progesterone pills.
This time, 9.5 weeks because that's when I ran out of PIO and my RE was ok with it at that point.
I remember being both happy not to worry about estrace any more and being terrified that it would mean I would have a loss again if we stopped. I was nutty.

E has been so naughty this week. I think she is having some emotions about moving to her toddler bed, and she's been struggling with bath time too. I rarely think about her adjusted age anymore, but she is getting closer to two adjusted and I wonder if there's some developmental stuff going on.
She also will not stop climbing on everything. She walked across the balance beam at gym this week with no help (her teacher was spotting her and it had a beam extender on it, but I was still pretty impressed), and then I caught her walking on the arm of the couch. Little stinker!

I stopped at 10 or 11 weeks but like you my doctor said I could stop at 9 weeks because all research showed that thatโs when the placenta takes over. I was doing 2 PIO shots a day at that time and still had some left so I kept taking them once a day until I ran out around 10.5 weeks.
Thanks all! Iโll be stopping tomorrow at 9 wks. I am out of PIO and estrace then anyway. Debating doing the suppositories for a few days but H told me to just listen to the doctor. The little gummy bear waved during the US yesterday haha.
I cried when I graduated from the RE yesterday. I was fine but then the Dr came in with a childrenโs book that he signed and said him and his wife read to their kids and I lost it lol. They also gave me a swag bag with a hat and pregnancy magazine. Feels weird moving onto an OB finally, still not able to relax. H refuses to look at baby stuff in stores for now. Hopefully heโll feel better after the first tri.

S has been so naughty lately too. Just easily upset, wanting his way, saying a lot of "no!" and throwing things, etc. Pushing limits. He is also almost 2.

Oh hi my kid too. So whiny. So demanding. Wants ridiculous things and will scream if he doesnโt get them. Also he is a kid who loves baths. Will sit in there all day if I let him. Nope. Now screams the 3 minutes it takes to wash him then demands to get out.

omg sage now cries "OW OW OW!" when I GENTLY wash his hair. Or dry it. Or check it for ticks (major requirement of living here!)
He does still love the rest of his bath, though, thank god.

P just screams. But mostly does that through washing and then the second I rinse his hair he just plays and has fun. Drama queen.

E felt some sand on her butt in the tub last week and it's been hell since. I bought a stool for her to sit on and it's helped a lot, but there's still screaming and when she's done she's done and she's so strong I actually pulled a muscle in my back trying to rinse her hair out. Her hair was so greasy that the curls fell out. Kid, you need to be WASHED!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
My SIL is pregnant (with their second) and I am super excited about another baby in the family! But, she is only 6 weeks and she already told her boss and all of her team at work. She says she lives by the advice to share good news when you have it. So I know that this has absolutely zero to do with me and that's a completely valid outlook to have. It just stirs up all these old feelings in me - sadness, fear, bitterness, anger... I'm not even upset with her, it's just provoked all these emotions and I don't know what to do with them. Anyway, it's not about me, of course. I tried to talk to my DH and he didn't get it, so I'll share here, then take a deep breath and move on. I am really excited about their baby and I hope everything goes smoothly.
mpc I get those feelings too. My SIL announced each of her kids (5 of them) at like 7 weeks. And every one stuck. And of course that's what I was hoping for, but man alive was I jealous that she could be all "Tra la la!" about it. I always felt robbed of the chance to enjoy pregnancies.
We got S some sun glasses over the weekend. I have no idea where he got it from (he is only 22 months!) but he put them on and immediately goes "hi dude!" and runs up to everyone he sees and goes "Dude!"
Hey hopefully I can join you guys over here. I found out last week my first FET transfer worked and I will be 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow.
I do have a question...The past couple days my PIO shots have really hurt going in. Yesterday it bled a lot and my butt is kind of numb today. Is this because I am pregnant or just bc my butt is sensitive from all the shots? Any tips?

Congrats again!
Its probably just getting sensitive, but if its numb you may have hit a nerve on the last injection. I was on PIO until just over 9 weeks. The last week or so, every shot hurt and I was extremely sore. I just had run out of "real estate" and it didnt matter what I did. I used my rice heating pad on my butt as often as I could, it helped a little.

I bled every. single. time. I had to use a gauze pad and tape over the injection site every night or I'd bleed through my clothes. FUN. I went from being sore to mostly just numb with a knot in the spot where the shot went in . Eventually it WOULD hurt going in which sucked, but it was only for a second. I have been off of the shots for over 9 weeks and there are still two huge marks on my ass bigger than the circumference of a golf ball. I'm hoping that's not permanent.
That wasn't helpful at all.
Some people here have very detailed routines for how you can make it hurt less. I just didn't feel like going through all of it, so I just clenched my teeth for the couple of seconds that it hurt. ALSO NOT HELPFUL. Why did I even write this?
I remember my PIO shots getting more painful toward the end of doing them. I think it's just that you've had so many injections in the same place every day for so long... You start to run out of real estate. My method was always ice beforehand, do the shot while leaning on my other leg to take any weight off the injection side, then heating pad after.
