Hey hopefully I can join you guys over here. I found out last week my first FET transfer worked and I will be 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow.
I do have a question...The past couple days my PIO shots have really hurt going in. Yesterday it bled a lot and my butt is kind of numb today. Is this because I am pregnant or just bc my butt is sensitive from all the shots? Any tips?
I bled every. single. time. I had to use a gauze pad and tape over the injection site every night or I'd bleed through my clothes. FUN. I went from being sore to mostly just numb with a knot in the spot where the shot went in . Eventually it WOULD hurt going in which sucked, but it was only for a second. I have been off of the shots for over 9 weeks and there are still two huge marks on my ass bigger than the circumference of a golf ball. I'm hoping that's not permanent.
That wasn't helpful at all.
Some people here have very detailed routines for how you can make it hurt less. I just didn't feel like going through all of it, so I just clenched my teeth for the couple of seconds that it hurt. ALSO NOT HELPFUL. Why did I even write this?
Lol it’s okay, I appreciate that it’s normal and the commiseration.
Today was the first u/s. We saw the yolk sack and I was measuring right where they wanted me to be. My HcG is now at 5,524. So right at 5 weeks. I go back 6/3 and should see the heart beat. They also told me I could make my first OB apt bc I should be graduating 6/14. My apt is on 6/17.

When did your kid:
Start using utensils on a regular basis to eat Successfully get their socks off by themselves?
E can use utensils but prefers her hands. She has never been able to get her socks off, even with us coaching her. She gets pretty pissed about it and declares HELP! HELP! almost immediately.
thoseareradishes not sure on socks. There was definitely a difference between our two kids even on what they are willing to do. My oldest was dressing herself before 3 when her brother was born. My younger one just started being willing to (I think he could do it) dress himself in the last few months, and he just turned 4. He can take his socks off, but I can't recall when it started? Maybe practice with some really stretchy socks? The type of socks impact their ability to do it themselves.
Both kids just started using their utensils to mirror the adults, but it took a long time before they did it consistently. Even my 4 year old sometimes eats with his hands when he shouldn't. I try not to fight about it.
thoseareradishes, I cannot speak to the socks thing because S is only 22 months and nowhere near putting his socks on, lol. He will try to put his shoes on though...boots he has more success with. But he uses a spoon and fork pretty well. Sometimes he will ask for help (more with a spoon and the scooping) and other times if he is just plain old hungry and impatient he will use his hands.

My kid (2 next Friday) still uses his hands. He can use a fork but isn’t great at it and gets impatient. Spoons are a no go. He flips it before putting it in his mouth so all of the food falls off.
P has pulled his socks off a couple of times but usually just messing around. Haven’t thought about it much. He attempts to put his own shoes on very unsuccessfully. That’s why he prefers putting on OUR shoes. Much more room. Haha

I am an idiot. I thought you asked how old they were when they put their socks ON. Sage takes his off. Sometimes not as easily as other times and then he gets frustrated and asks for help.

I ask because I know she is going to get dinged on the sock thing this summer when we go to preemie clinic and her EI eval. I was curious when kids typically can get their socks off, because I feel like people complain that their baby pulls their socks off and that's why they don't wear them, but E has never shown any interest in taking hers off.

I don’t remember my son being big on taking socks and shoes off esp if they fit properly. 🤷🏻♀️

E started taking his socks off around 10/11 months but it wasn’t consistent. He’s almost 13 months now and can do it consistently, he cannot put his socks back on (he tries but it consists of him just laying the sock on the top of his feet).
He still can’t use utensils. We try give it to him occasionally but I find it just distracts him more than anything and he just uses it as a hockey stick to smack all his food off his high chair.

ha! Sage does this, too. It is adorable.
thoseareradishes, to me that seems crazy to be "dinged" for that and also, not something I would worry about. While sage CAN take his socks off, he rarely does anymore. They just are "there" and not something he regularly finds he needs to do something about.
As for utensils, he is OBSESSED with doing things himself. He would not let me help him with yogurt this morning and it took FOR.EVER. to finish it. We have just taught him it is easier to scoop when he uses his other hand to hold the "bowl" to keep it steady. He is takes great pride in holding the bowl and scooping big scoops. "look mama! big yogurt!" lol.
I am trying not to freak out right now, but when I went to the bathroom and I wiped there was pink spotting, when I wiped again it was brown. I left a message for the answering service, so I am just waiting for a call back. I am so nervous. I am 6 weeks 2 days pregnant. Monday is supposed to be the day I see the heart beat.

vmars , I had some spotting and bleeding in 1st tri, and it was from a subchorionic hematoma/hemorrhage. Are you using progesterone suppositories? They can also cause irritation. FX it's nothing and you get a call back soon!

No just PIO. I felt some pulling earlier before the spotting. I remember having a similar experience with my son when I was 8 weeks pregnant but it was only brown blood, no pink. The pink spotting is what freaked me out. I just hope it’s normal spotting.
vmars I had some brown spotting between 5-6 weeks this time. Even though I know brown is ok, it terrified me because I hadn't had my u/s yet. My RE said the same thing, and long as it doesnt get worse or is accompanied by cramping, its probably ok.

vmars I had some pink/brownish spotting around the same time as well. I was told if it wasn’t bright red or accompanied by cramping, all was fine. And it was! Hoping it’s nothing!
We heard the heart beat this morning! It is 127 at 6 weeks 4 days. They could not find any source of the bleed. I am so happy everything is okay. I also started feeling nauseous yesterday and a bunch of other symptoms - so that’s promising lol.

I had the same exact type of bleeding with DS and it was nothing and never happened again. Great news on the ultrasound!!
