I read more books this month than I have in a loonnng time. Most were enjoyable! I was on a YA kick which is an easy way to get more books in.
It's Not Summer Without You- 4* We'll Always Have Summer- 4* Dreamland 3*- (much heavier than I expected it to be) Forever, Interrupted 3.5*- (good writing, hard to read story) Maybe in Another Life- 4.5* The One Real Thing- 3* Every Little Thing- DNF.
I read most of these in the first few weeks of April. Now I have a bunch of holds that should come in soon and I don't know what to read while I'm waiting!
I read in April: Sweetbitter (Stephanie Danler)*** Words on Bathroom Walls (Julia Walton)**** There, There (Tommy Orange)*** Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets (JK Rowling)**** Tear Me Apart (JT Ellison)*** Among the Brave (Margaret Peterson Haddix)**
Our House by Louise Candlish 4* Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens 4* Inheritance by Dani Shapiro 4* A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn 4* Before She Knew Him by Peter Swanson 3* No Exit by Taylor Adams 1* The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley 4*
3* There, There by Tommy Orange (It would have been higher, but the ending ruined it.)
The Women in the Castle, by Jessica Shattuck
2* Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter
Circe by Madeline Miller
The Feather Thief by Kirk Johnson (I liked this book, but I feel like his investigation into the theft for this book ruined any criminal prosecution that could have been brought against the individuals involved. So I finished the book highly annoyed.)
Sharp Objects - I'm so torn on all Gillian Flynn books. I like it, but then I realize I didn't love it? The Remains of the Day - **** Hit So Hard - ***

I only finished "When", it was good, but def a trigger warning to those with parents/family with alcohol addiction. I think that's why it took longer to read.
I got halfway through To All the Boys I've Loved Before by the end of April, just finished last night.
I started Children of Blood and Bone, but couldn't get into it before it expired.
I started The Miseducation of Cameron Post - hope to finish it later, loan ran out.
I'm at 7/24, hoping May is really good.
spedrunner - I just started Nov 9th last night, I hope it's good, so far it has my interest 18 pages in.
