Today is the last day of my final full week at my current job. I'll be in only very part time after today. I'm excited and nervous.
This weekend I'm doing a 5k that has an obstacle course of inflatable/bouncy things as part of it. I told my friend that we're just doing this for fun. She started running to spite her ex-boyfriend and now she's getting pretty competitive about it, so I have to remind her I can't keep up. But there will be lots of inflatable things to play on outside of the 5k as well! It should be a lot of fun.
I am staying home tonight so I can rest up for Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday I work till noon then I am off to a Kentucky Derby party. After that I am heading to another friend's annual Pub Crawl. She lives in a smaller town and her house is like 4 blocks from the downtown main street, which is lined with several restaurants, bars and the local VFW. There are like 40 of us pub crawling. Then we all end up back at her house for a huge bonfire that usually lasts into the wee hours of the morning. Since it is about 30 miles away, I always spend the night at her house and the next morning we head back to mainstreet for breakfast and bloody marys.
After that I wlll head home for a quick nap and then off to meet a bunch of work friends to celebrate Cinco De Mayo at our favorite patio bar.
Thank god I have Monday off because I am going to need a recovery day.
GARTH FREAKING BROOKS TONIGHT!!! I'm soooo excited! I'm bailing from work soon and heading over to Minneapolis to meet up with friends to go to the show. We have floor seats 11 rows from the freaking stage! I have never been that close at a concert! We're going out after the show and meeting up with some of R's friends.
Tomorrow we're maybe grabbing brunch with R's uncle and then heading home. Going to DS's play tomorrow night (I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't suck). Sunday R's band is the opening band for a bigger name band for a fundraiser, so going to that and then home to do home stuff.
tiramisu - why don’t you both run your own race and meet up at the end? I always do that with friends because it’s a lot less pressure to keep up and I enjoy races much better at my own (slow) pace.
This weekend I don’t have a lot planned for the first time in ever it seems. Did I tell you all we are TTC?? So we’re having fun doing that! 😂
There’s a huge book sale our county runs this weekend so we’re going to go to that and maybe strawberry picking. Not much else!
