Friday- BBG workout day one (doing this 2/3 days a week on my busy days. It’s quick in the mornings if I don’t want up early enough to run!)
Saturday- easy 3 mile run
Sunday- Broad Street 10 miler! It’s was wet and windy, but fun! Everyone I ran with PR’d- I ran an 8:33 per mile, which I was really happy with until I found out my one guy friend ran a 6:21. Show off! Lol.
Fri - ~3 mi bike ride with my five year old as a leader. She was like a drunken ant, changing directions, but I went where she wanted. Sat - ran 3 mi Sun - half marathon. So much rain, again. This is the third local race I can think of in less than a year where there have been these really long (24-36 hr plus) rains. Anecdotes, but I swear it didn’t used to be like this. #climatechange 😐
Forgive me, H&F, for I have sinned. After my last marathon, I was all "I don't run nearly as much anymore - I don't need to check the mileage on my shoes! I only ran my last long run, tape, and my race in these shoes. PSSSSH!" Fast forward 18 MONTHS and I'm like "Why does my knee keep swelling if I run more than one day in a row?" I open Garmin, expecting the mileage on my shoes to barely be past due and GUYS. I had 740 miles on these goddamn shoes. I feel so dumb. So very, very dumb. Got on Amazon and primed myself some new shoes. JFC, I am so dumb.
F: power flow, 3 miles Sa: 3 rounds - 800m run, 30 dead lifts @ 75#, 30 burpees (OMG) Su: my favorite bike workout, 5 rounds - 15, 12, 9 cals with 30 seconds in between
Fr: rest Sa: 2.5 Su: 26.2 miles! Also in the rain. Lots of that on the east coast yesterday. I was thinking I should do a run down of how many marathons I’ve run in the rain b/c I feel like it is many of them. It really does rain every weekend minzy
