1. Where are you in your TTC journey? (TTC#, CD, DPO, etc). TTC#2, Cycle 2 after 2nd loss, CD 10
2. Any upcoming tests? OPKs starting today/tomorrow.
3. Any Spring/Summer vacation plans? H's aunt and uncle own a super swanky cottage. We'll be borrowing that for the better part of a week. We just took a trip overseas before Christmas so a big summer vacation is not in the budget this year.
4. Questions? Randoms? I saw my OBGYN today. Diagnosis of mild PCOS. Starting Metformin in the AM. Have a prescription in hand for progesterone suppositories, synthoid, and baby aspirin to start the second I get a BFP. Am going to chat with the pharmacist tonight to make sure that the progesterone can be filled ASAP and I don't have to wait a few days. If that's the case I'll fill the script now and just hold onto it until a BFP happens. H is going for another SA since his morphology level was right at the limit of "normal abnormality" last time. Thankfully because my OB is referring him, he can do it in town and we don't have to have a awkward AF hotel rental situation going on again. He gave me the all clear to TTC so it's good timing given I'm CD10. The weird thing to come from all the testing is that I have very small teratoma (a benign growth that can grow hair and teeth) on one of my ovaries. It's tiny and not an issue apparently. But it's weird.
1. Where are you in your TTC journey? (TTC#, CD, DPO, etc). TTC1, CD5
2. Any upcoming tests? None
3. Any Spring/Summer vacation plans? Sadly no
4. Questions? Randoms? I just had my laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and a d&c yesterday. I was knocked out for everything and turns out I had silent endo so my OB removed 6 or 7 large scar marks. Never knew I had endo so this was a surprise to me. The worst of the pain is in the shoulder from the gas and I can feel pulling on the incisions if I sit up so I'm pretty much reclined on the couch. I really want to take a deep breath but can't and really want to take a shower but not able to until tomorrow (48 hours after surgery). Once I start my period we can do our final FET but we might do another retrieval first.

Congratulations on your diagnosis. That can be such a relief to have an answer. I hope all of these things work for you and you've gotten to the bottom of the problem! I also had a teratoma found when I was doing a pre-surgery work up in January with my gastro surgeon. I got mine removed and then realized that's why my side hurt off and on. They can grow, so if you ever have a lot of ovary pain, it can be taken out laparoscopically.

Cautiously posting that I got a bfp over the weekend. It was my first month on vitex and it worked (also had an iron infusion to treat my anemia - I'm sure that helped, too). Same thing happened when I got my bfp with DS - first month on vitex and bfp. I think it's time I left a positive amazon review. Anyway, I've got my fingers crossed for you guys! Good luck on your journey

Thank you! Yes, itβs definitely a relief to have something official and to have a plan for moving forward. FX that it works quickly!
Iβve been reading up on the teratoma and it actually makes a lot of sense with some of the abdominal discomfort symptoms I get periodically. Iβm not keen to have abdominal surgery while TTCing so Iβll probably look at having it removed at some point in the future.
Congrats on your bfp! Amazing news! I have everything crossed for you!

achi, metformin can cause nausea and lower GI symptoms. My REI suggested taking it at night (after youβve eaten) so that you sleep through some of the nausea. I found taking it right after dinner works best for me!

Thanks! My OB gave me specific directions to take it in the AM with breakfast. I felt mildly nauseous the first day for about an hour but today I felt ok. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I've been on metformin for years and the other thing that works is to eat a really low carb diet. It makes it easier on your stomach.

Awesome! Iβm eating lower carb (not super low, but lower), have gotten way more active, and have been consistently loosing about a pound a week so hopefully all those things in combination should help.
