I need help with my undereye badly. No matter what I seem to do it is dry and scaly. Some days just dry and not scaly. I feel like maybe I need an oil under my eye at night even though I use a lot of moisturizer already? For eyes I do: Morning- caudalie eye balm and DE eye serum Night- DE and then Clinique under eye This is after using full moisturizer on the rest of my face. Dryness isn’t an issue anymore upping my moisture game. I used to have dry skin and now it’s at least controllable. I do use acids but not frequently (2x a week) and retinol maybe once a week (sometimes two but it does dry me up).
Are you using the DE C-Tango? I love that one and have seen greats result. Unlike any other eye cream I’ve tried.
It may be worth checking with a dermatologist.
I did try this one but not currently using. Right now I’m using the DE regular eye serum. I didn’t notice anything majorly different when using the c tango.
Do you have sensitive skin? Eczema anywhere? I'm wondering if it could be something like that. I've been getting scaly patches on my neck that go away with regular BHA use (I use a leave-on lotion daily) and cortisone cream. I've been thinking about using a lotion/cream specifically for eczema on my neck, because I think that's what it is.

I would be very careful with acids as they may be getting on your under-eye skin and so you may have stripped that area. I'd be using oils at this point under your eye along with moisturiser.

I was also going to suggest that it may be an allergic reaction to a product you are using. I would stop all of your regular skincare treatments and just cleanse and moisturize for a week or two to see if it improves. The skin around your eye is the most sensitive to allergens and will be the first to react to a product that it doesn't like, even if that product isn't being placed directly on it (my upper eyelid gets dry and scaly if I use something I am sensitive to, even though i never put product in that spot).
