We are in the middle of a home renovation for our brick 1940s colonial. We are trying to keep some of the charm of the house while updating it. A lot of the interior finishes are transitional style.
This is our inspiration photo for the exterior of the house, and our house actually looks very similar to this. We went with black windows and we're doing black shutters.
Does anyone have recommendations for a style of shutter that isn't so traditional but still fits with this style of house? I loveeee shaker style shutters like the ones below but I feel like they may be a touch too modern?
